he has pissed off srikkanth thats why he's not in the team, he will be back once srikkanth is gone next year rwZDbAvoX_k&feature=relmfu Mar 4, 2010 Indian Cricket team's Chief Selector Shrikant, misbehaved with TV9 Gujarat's Sports correspondent in Ahmedabad, while the reporter sought to know why Irfan Pathan was igorned for T20 world cup

I'm really glad that Pathan has been completely out of the national team. It'll show him what he's been missing and it's all his own fault for bowling stupid variations instead of constantly working on his stock deliveries and seam position.
Yet Vinay Kumar is selected who bowls 60mph off spinners instead of focusing on seam or swing or whatever his speciality was supposed to be. Even in one post match interview in the recent England series, Dhoni alluded to not having a proper number 7 all rounder since Irfan. It really is baffling how he's been left out given the lack of bowling talent we have. Even if he rediscovers himself as a batting all rounder, he would be a valuable asset to our ODI team given the next world cup is down under.

I wish him all the best. People clamouring for better bench strength would do well not to turn their noses up at something like this. Having said that his action looked horribly mechanical in the IPL, I suspect he is working on that. IP could certainly be a more than useful player if his bowling regains its zip. I agree with Fontaine, the containing Vinay-esque crap he bowled before has to be banished...focus on your strengths brah

Hopefully he gets it right and comes back to the team after he shows real improvement, not the crappy stunts he used to pull like changing his bowling action every two years and announcing his comeback.
Have some respect ,He has won us many matches and he has been handled badly by dhoni and kirsten fact is he did well after his comeback and was outstanding in t20 worldcup did well in home series against australia and in test series in australia,he did not perform in a test against sa in home conditions and was dropped and in world t20 in eng he did well in chances he got but was dropped. He is anyday better than vinay kumar, munaf patel,P.k he can bat and field and in odis and t20s we need him,Its crystall clear dhoni or selectors do not want him as he has dropepd pace,Kirsten actually said he is now bowling at 110-115km/h where as he is still 120-130km/h somebody might have been in kirsten ears,You need to be dhonis boys like vinay kumar,rp sing,pk,munna to get in to the team its sad.

My advice to Crapthan is take a gamble with steriods' date=' it may take him above 78mph and mean he gets a good 2 months in indian team before he gets caught![/quote'] :haha::haha:

I hope this buffet bowler never plays for us again, in the final few years of his career he was being taken to the cleaners by almost every single batsman with ease.

why resort to name calling just because you don't like a player?

Wow...these Irfan's comeback threads are kinda becoming lame...For now he is just a washed up has-been and for all the disdain I have for V.K's bowling, the guy has atleast earned his way by being one of the top wicket takers in FC. A lot of people wanted RP Singh in the squad too during the England series and we all know how it turned out

It's not just about RP Singh's case it's more about being extreme reactions to situations. We blame the BCCI unfortunately we aren't much different.
