nospam Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Disappointed with the hardware updates, could be easily beaten in 2-3 months time when quad core (tegra3, quad core snap dragon) releases. Software wise some really good updates, but it won't take much time for Google to update their voice actions software. Other than that why is Apple competing with Hallmark instead of Samsung/Mototola/HTC??!!

I am pretty sure that the reason Apple changed the name of their iPhone from gen 5 to 4S, is not to fall back on the development cycle in comparison to Samsung and the rest.

News is that Google and Samsung Postponed this with due respect to Jobs.. i find it difficult to believe but ready to give Benefit of doubt to them :two_thumbs_up:

Think of it this way.. IOS doesnt allow you to do hundreds of things, ofcourse it is going to crash lesser. Heck you cannot even download a file off safari, whereas I can even download torrents in droid...

Apple's USP is the ease of use and the cool factor. Top end androids cost pretty much the same as the latest iPhone. Apple sells the iphone at an average price of 600$ plus... you think people get it for 200$ in the US, but apple sells the phone to att for 600, and att sells it to the customer for 200, making up the difference in the contract with jacked up monthly plans. I'd say the apple app store has more apps, whereas android app store has more free apps.

It's a personal call.. I dont see many women preferring droid over an iphone. Similarly.. hardcore business users swear by blackberry, geeks swear by android, and lots of people swear by apple as well. The key part is that android has taken over the mid range smartphone market.
