I'm confused folks!!!! What would you guys do if your contract is up for renewal and why: a) Get the Iphone 4S b) Get the Samsung Galaxy S 2 c) Wait for Nexus Prime and get that d) Wait for Samsung's next Galaxy edition
C. Nexus prime is gonna be something fantastic. Plus.. vanilla android B. SGS2 is a fantastic phone. Unlocked bootloader too. A. Not as good as the SGS2, lacks power, ram.. better style statement, better if you are already in the ecosystem and dont want to switch. D. Samsung galaxy S3 will come next year, with a 1.8 Ghz dual core proc and 2 gb ram (as per engadget)

what do you mean by air tunes? do you mean songs over airplay?
Yeah controlling songs from iphone to any speaker using Airport express. Can we do that with a non apple phone device?

It's funny how around every iPhone launch there are certain people talking about how shoddy the product is and how the response has been lukewarm etc. Quite simply iPhone is the best phone around and just got better with the 4S. The reviews regarding Siri and the processor speed are extremely positive, and well it hits the market on Friday anyway.

Apple has raised the bar so many times;People expect a miracle everytime a product is released

Completely agree with you. Siri is going to be amazing, people have only used voice recognition on their phones for calling someone on their contact list or sending a message or doing a search. With Siri, they would be able to do much much more. Android could have seriously improved their voice recognition software and be ahead of Apple but they didn't (even after being the first phones to release on a dual core device) Same thing happened when Apple released the first touch screen iPhone and people were like how is this thing any special, there were already phones with touchscreen in the market but Apple was the first one to do it right (capacitive+multi touch gestures v/s stylus+resistive based), they were first ones to do facetime right (a lot of phones had video chat but no one used it, gtalk/skype with video is not even available to all android devices, other alternative is tango which was released after facetime) and now it is Siri.

^^ u buying it. Did u try Android yet
Probably - am due for an upgrade from AT&T anyways from my 3GS. Will wait for a month of cooling down and then make the call. I've only tried Android on other people's phones, so am certainly no authority but found the interface too clunky and not as user friendly. Also, there seemed to be a bit of a lag between choosing an app and for it to start, but that might have been due to the phones I tried it on. The basic design and interface of the iPhone is something which is not just good, but I've probably gotten used to and can't see the motivation to switch over to something else. Now unless someone comes up with a phone where I can just say, "Order 1 Kung Pao Chicken and 1 Spring Roll from P.F. Changs to be delivered to home" and the phone does everything from going to the website, using my login credentials and placing the order with my credit card and address, I am unlikely to make a switch.

What's so special about Siri, Google Voice actions have been around for ages. It can probably do most of the things Siri does, voice actions is something that is not used a lot anyway. Kind of like the last 'innovative' thing Apple did - facetime. Hardly anyone I know that owns a iPhone 4 ever makes use of facetime, they may have tried it out to see what its about, but that's about it.

Android suited my needs, and just the freedom of settings. iPhone will always appeal the masses who are content with simplicity which works perfectly
