Speed guns are only accurate when they are calibrated properly' date=' placed at a certain distance and angle, all speed guns once every couple of overs will give an in accurate reading like 110 mph [the zaheer delivery'], or 110 kph,most broadcasters dont show those speed which they count as errors.Speed guns used by Neo sports, seem to show in general lower speeds by 5 to 6 kph, also a combination of bowlers giving it more in int games.So if a bowler is averaging 125 in domestic games per speed gun, he can be expected to bowl in 131 k's.Of all the games I have seen recently the Punjab game and U P game kinda showed accurate readings as all bowlers bowled from 135 to 125 k's and speed was consistent with a particular bowler, unlike some games where most bowlers are bowling from 115 to 124 k.

May be those bowlers from UP and Punjab are genuinly that quick and these seamers are not.

I watched couple of U P games , BK bolwed around 128 k, Tyagi around 130's, consistently.Some games speed gun would show BK at 119 , Tyagi at 120's ave.All Baroda games showed Pathan bowling 115 to 120 k's, he was hovering around 130 in his comeback.Delhi game showed Nehra bowling at 120, Sangwan same speed, we all know with just two steps Nehra can bowl faster then that.

Equipment is provided by company which has broad casting rights, SKY, Channel9 use the best equipment, Cricinfo is just a website they dont broadcast or record games, people who watch the games or cover live commentary for them , record speeds based on which channel they are watching on or if they are watching live , then depends on broadcaster, they dont have their own equipment they just write the speeds based on which channel or source they are getting it from, it differs from what u guys see on TV because, if neo has broadcast rights then u guys will seee their speed, whereas Cricinfo will show foreign broadcasters speed gun readings , depending on where the games are being played and who else is covering them.

Here is the picture of speed gun that was being used at PCA in Punjab vs UP match in Nov. I am sending this picture for you brother. Now, you have to pray it everyday, bhog lagao and you have to feed 4 cows, then if it gets happy, it will surely show you the correct speeds :giggle:

Neo should simply sell its feed to the other channels, how can they let speed guns of those other broadcasters be on the field? If speed guns can be on the field, a lot of other peripheral equipment can be on the field as well. And it is ridiculous to have five different speeds of the same delivery from five different broadcasters; if that happens it will simply devalue the quality of the broadcast.
