King Tendulkar Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Well batted yeatreday finshing the game of for us. The guy is class and IMO is now going to fulfill his undoubted supreme talent. He is no were near his peak and will now have a top period. He is only 25! Watch Yuvraj fire
beetle Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I doubt it! He will continue to perform just once in a while ...we have seen it all too often! This comment is based on his past performance ....as he has not shown any consistant performance to warrent a change in opinion.
Gambit Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Like I said in another thread, IMO Yuvi is our best ODI bat in the last 2 years and showed a lot of consistency in the 2005-late 2006 period. If he can perform like he did then, we will have no problems steam rolling sides in ODIs.
King Tendulkar Posted July 1, 2007 Author Posted July 1, 2007 He also pays the toughest role in odi team, as finsher. Often coming in needing 5 an over and gotta go from ball 1. He showed he can do it.
King Tendulkar Posted July 1, 2007 Author Posted July 1, 2007 50 for YUVRAJ Another one to silence his critics. The guy is CLASS!
King Tendulkar Posted July 1, 2007 Author Posted July 1, 2007 2 games in a row he has finished a game for us and we won. He is doing the toughest job in odi and doing it well
Dhondy Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Punjab da sher! :adore: What a photo! You can feel the adrenaline!
Predator_05 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 May as well capitalise on this while i can; HoFQJ-o7HPY
ludhianvi Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Good knock by Yuvi, although, one must admit he was very scratchy in the beginning of his innings and he had four close chances. Anyhow, all the best as he seems to be finding some form for the England tour. Now with him doing well in the ODI series, what changes would this bring for him in the Test Squad for the England tour. For him to make it into the team, poor Laxman misses out.
ludhianvi Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 May as well capitalise on this while i can; HoFQJ-o7HPY Which year is that from? He's certainly put on a lot of weight since then:giggle:

This guy transforms India's batting lineup; adding muscle, class and the kind of nerveless aggression which any bowler worth his salt will always be wary of. No matter how many dot balls he plays out when the match is going down ot the wire, you just know he will finish it off. Like i said earlier - that is the AURA of a true WINNER. Look out, India's MVP is back.
Dhondy Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Incredible innings that was, Pred. The word "royal" comes to mind.
Predator_05 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Some stats He has made 35 scores of 50+, and no less than 27 have resulted in wins for India. 77% of 50+ scores made by Yuvraj have resulted in a victory for India. This is when counting today's win, but also a flawed stat because it discounts other valuable innings such as that 49* he scored vs SA the other day. I don't think any other Indian batsman matches that (will look up corresponding stats later). He is India's MVP, no doubt about it
MundaPakistani Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 He has done brilliantly in the ODIs now the next step is to start performing in test matches as well.
