Old guy Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 i mean like really quick ah well they dont suvive for long now a days best bowlers in last 10 years have been who can bowl in 140's easily and can move the ball
Cricket Tragic Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Good start but a long way to go. We need to find another 2-3 decent seamers.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Ravi saying in post match show that Umesh claims that he can be even faster if he can sort out a few problems in his action here and there. Good 2 hear that
VRV Singh Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Good start but a long way to go. We need to find another 2-3 decent seamers. I will confidently predict we won't. The next Yadav will arrive in three years, by that time the original Yadav will be Ishant Sharma. Lord knows what Ishant Sharma will be..
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 i mean like really quick no one is 155 k regular bowler from the start. Even Shoaib and Brett started as 90m + bowlers and then it depends upon how they develops as an bowler and normally at the age of 26-30, when most bowlers achieve their best fitness and able to bowl their fastest. All 4, Shoaib, Brett, Shane Bond and Shaun Tait bowled their fastest in this age period only and 3 of them reached 100 miles too
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I will confidently predict we won't. The next Yadav will arrive in three years' date=' by that time the original Yadav will be Ishant Sharma. Lord knows what Ishant Sharma will be..[/quote'] We have Varun Aaron as well and some others in domestic who can also bowl fast. But yes, Umesh is most skillful

Doesn't look good with Zaheer also nearing the end of his career.
VRV Singh Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Unfortunately that's the futility of being optimistic about one bowler. Other teams have several. Yadav is good, but ultimately he will be brought down if there is nothing else. We can't have much faith in whatever structure there is to find these bowlers and sustain them. It's the kind of circumstance which means Vincent Koomar bowling on the world's fastest pitch.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 but Ishant lacked the ability to take wickets even on the first tour which Yadav has. He can surprise batsmen with pace. Ishant took fifer in his second match against Pakistan at home. B->
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 The ball to get Ponting was a beaut! Yup. Reminded me somewhat of the beauty that Akhtar bowled to Ponting.
Old guy Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Ishant took fifer in his second match against Pakistan at home. B-> he got some cheap wickets i remeb he tried bowling some yorkers and tialenders kept missing the ball :P
rkt.india Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Ishant took fifer in his second match against Pakistan at home. B-> that was when Pak had scored over 500 and some one had to get the wickets.
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 that was when Pak had scored over 500 and some one had to get the wickets. I know, I know. He always struggle to take wkts. Checked his stats on cricinfo. I agree wid ya
chainsmoker1985 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 he got some cheap wickets i remeb he tried bowling some yorkers and tialenders kept missing the ball :P yea I remember that was Mohd Sami and Arafat. Dekha meri memory kitni tej hai
Old guy Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 yea I remember that was Mohd Sami and Arafat. Dekha meri memory kitni tej hai  yes!!
rkt.india Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I know' date=' I know. He always struggle to take wkts. Checked his stats on cricinfo. Yadav made that change and has done well. rkt i know this is not the right thread but praveen kumar on these wickets would have done better then ishant right? i mean more then bounce we are seeing swing... best bowler of this series is hilfy.. i think next time we tour praveen will come in place of ishant i ve given up on him
Singham Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Ishant needs to come closer to the stumps like Yadav. He will enjoy more success like Yadav is enjoying now.
