Trichromatic Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 England certainly enjoy playing ODIs in Bangladesh and WI. :P
THX_1138 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 i remember that series... 5-1 with one game washed out. what was peculiar about that series is when the first game was on, i was sitting in a dorm room sipping on some suds and doing some partial differential equations. in today's game, i was doing something similar, except the material was a bit more advanced. gee the world is indeed circular.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I would be amazed if England manage to win more than 1 game, in fact even winning 1 game Seems beyond them This series is just another familiar start for England in India. They are simply a pitiful, gutless, and talentless side. India are missing tendulkar, sehwag, yuvraj, Zaheer etc and they are still pounding them pretty effortlessly. How shameful. Their batting is weak, they struggle to clear the ropes, struggle to get to the spinners, play themselves in and get out easily. Their struggle against part time spinners like jadeja was hilarious, it's like they haven't seen a ball turn in their entire lives. Their bowling is utter garbage. This was like playing an associate nation in the last 15 overs, dhoni and raina were doing whatever they wanted to. They are incapable of getting batsmen out in conditions that don't allow the ball to do something off the pitch and in the air. Good thing Jamie handerson wasn't here, he would have out done his 96 runs off 10 overs in the world cup....LMAO And lastly, the fielding. They will no doubt complain about the grounds, but man are they **** at fielding. Pietersen letting a ball thru his legs for 4, and my fav highlight of the day - their south afrikan wicket keeper letting the widest of slow wide deliveries bounce off his gloves for four, wow.
Dravid_TheWall Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Exactly, they are only competitive at home really, not in the SC. Flower says they are gearing towards world cup success in limited overs, I say :finger:
Tiger80 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 England's revival in cricket started from 2009 upto then they were a joke of a team.Only after that they won 2 Ashes,1 t20 world cup and reached the position of No.1 test team
bajrang Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 lol they so deserve to be number 1 team in test. :hysterical: without winning test series in india its just a number that doest mean anything, ask steve waugh. this england team doesnt hold candles to waugh's team. anderson is no macgrath, swann is no warne, keiswetter, bell is no gichrist, Peterson is no ponting, and above all struss is no steve waugh.
Cricket Tragic Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 England certainly enjoy playing ODIs in Bangladesh and WI. :P Those include WC 2011 and CT 2006 games as well, right? The last time they played decently against India in India was in 2002.
Trichromatic Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Those include WC 2011 and CT 2006 games as well' date=' right? If I'm not wrong then it was initially a 5 match series and one match was added later. India were leading the series 3-1 and lost last 2 matches by 2 and 3 runs.
