Clarke Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I've done sky diving as well. Psychologically speaking (could be totally wrong)' date=' the only scary part about sky diving is the first few seconds when your brain is trying to come to terms with no ground beneath your feet (and the adrenaline hasn't kicked in it). Once the adrenaline kicks in, its happy sailing. Bungee jump duration isn't long enough for the adrenaline to take full effect. Also with bungee jumping (as well as base jumping) you have a reference point with respect to drop point and a cliff (or a tower in this case) which totally fvcks with the mind (with sky diving reference point is the horizon)[/quote'] Actually, the build up to sky diving is scarier than the fall if you ask me. That tiny plane with the door open at 14k feet is total nuts, and then you actually walk towards it, absolute bonkers. Stratosphere, here i come!
EnterTheVoid Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Thanks Under_Score. No video unfortunately, budget didn't stretch that far. nice pics . where is it? Macau. **** thats scary. I get altitude sickness trying to change the bulb on my ceiling standing on a stool. wow !!! i have done skydiving.. but this looks too scary. i could never do this. i'll do something tamer next - zip lining ! Pradeep' date=' R.E.S.P.E.K.T[/quote'] Its not as scary as it seems. The 360 degree panoramic views from the top are simply breathtaking.
EnterTheVoid Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 Snapped these today (Malaysia). See the antenna at the very top? B.A.S.E. jumpers go jumping off that ...
Sidhoni Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Scarier than sky diving. No instructor and you're on your own. Walk off the plank or they will push you off it. Y :fear:
EnterTheVoid Posted November 15, 2011 Author Posted November 15, 2011 The jump costs around $500 USD. There is no backing off once you commit yourself to it, not wasting all that money.
punjabi_khota Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 $500 ? you can get 50 blowjobs for that amount in malaysia

EnterTheVoid Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 I wasn't planning on doing this again but decided to anyway. The Sky Tower is large communications tower with the B.A.S.E (Buildings/Antennas/Structures/Earth) jumping platform some 70 odd story's off the ground. Basically suit up, say your prayers and take a leap of faith Snapped these this morning:
EnterTheVoid Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 This is the rig they got set up - Basically, you are left hanging on by a wire.
mhr123 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 How do they allow such jumps from these structures... isn't it against the law.. or do they have some agreement which says if someone die the owners are not responsible,,
EnterTheVoid Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 You sign a waiver that absolves them of any responsibility. Forget the jump, signing the waiver if the scariest part - It ****s with your mind the whole time.
EnterTheVoid Posted December 7, 2012 Author Posted December 7, 2012 Found these pictures floating around my hard drive ;)
