nsareen Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 I do not know if i'm the only one or there are others out there too who feel the same, i feel bored these days with the Indian Batting, specially the Test Matches, and i'm waiting to see Umesh/Ashwin bowl. Even in the ODI's i was more eager to watch the bowling( with the likes of Umesh,Varun, Ashwin) in the lineup, batting was predictable, keep scoring 300+ runs. I feel good about the change, hopefully the Indian bowling keeps me interested for a longer period, specially on Offshore Tours.

nsareen Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Agreed to an extent, in my case though, since the arrival of Umesh,Varun and now even Ishant, three quick bowlers and a canny spinner in Ashwin, and a unpredicatable bowler in Jadeja , we have a decent enough attack, who can be potent on most surfaces. To guide them we have zaheer,praveen,harbhajan, it looks competitive, still would want to see Abu Nechim in the team, i've been vouching for him for very very very long now, i can only hope he gets his chance when he is bowling this well. If the current bowling lineup stabilizes like England's , the chances of entering in the lineup becomes even more difficult.
carnish Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I guess one reason of the interest in watchng the indian bowling comes from the inconsistent batting by the indian team in the last few years we havent really scored any double hundreds and comparatively less hundreds than the previous 5-7 years.... so the batting isnt consistent and the bowling well if not great has become decent... we havent conceded many high totals in last few years apart from in England this year.. so the interest is genuinely based on performance

Had it been the last few months, it would have made sense. Barring the WI nd England tours,our batting has been at its peak for the past few years. And FYI, Sachin has scored around 15 100's in tests since 2007.

And FYI, Sachin has scored around 15 100's in tests since 2007.[/quote'] what have u been watching .... i toked of last few years... i meant 2 and a half years not since 2007 in Aus home series laxman along with the tail bailed us out twice.... same again we were saved from the embarassment due to laxman and two centuries by bhajji against paltry kiwis last year... then we were bambozzled by steyn in nagpur early 2010... dats inconsistency... and in the period i am toking about i dont remember any double centuries by indian batters even when we played on roads against new zealand when stupid guys like RYDER played well...

Talking of the very same series, Sachin scored a 200 in the second test. Steyn got us out in the 1st inning in the nagpur test, but the 2nd innings was good for 3-4 indian batters. In this very period, Sacihn scored a massive 200 in SL along with a century from Raina. Then in SA, Sachin and Laxman were in top form. Gambhir also chipped in with a few gutsy innings. What do you expect from them? A double hundred in every inning? Also, don't post in SMS language. It becomes tough to understand your views

This year our batting is really struggling though, bar Dravid. :facepalm::facepalm: i said two and a half year.... means since late 2009 i never said our batting was bad in 2009 or most parts of 2009... it was just at the end of 2009 we started being inconsistent... and i never said our batting was bad... cause we won matches.... just that it was inconsistent ... we had too many occasions when the tail bailed us... and LAXMAN ofcourse... the class he is...

It becomes tough to understand your views Sorry about the sms language. its been a habit of mine and i am new in this forum but using sms since a long time... i have apologised for it earlier here and i am trying to improve. about the topic i never said indian batting was bad in this period, i said it was inconsistent... too many batting collapses but yeah sachin has played some nice innings ... yes but although i dont expect everyone to fire in each innings i just dont like watching most of them failing more than once in a year and having to rely on Harbhajan to score centuries to draw games against NZL

Perth test onwards given me orgasmic excitement. tht spell to ponting n then one in a rain washed away match.
