fineleg Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Indian team specializes in bringing out of form batsmen to great form. So, :punter: will be waiting for the series.
SachDan Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Wanderers Test on knife edge as Ricky Ponting's career hangs by a thread http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/sports-fix/australia-v-south-africa-second-test/story-fn89h4np-1226199422921 Time for Ponting to walk http://www.espncricinfo.com/south-africa-v-australia-2011/content/current/story/541113.html Duck has Ricky Ponting hanging by a thread http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/sport/australia-openers-shane-watson-and-phil-highes-set-cracking-pace-in-johannesburg/story-e6frg7rx-1226199483800 Time is up for Ricky Ponting http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/cricket/malcolm-conn-analysis-time-is-up-for-ricky-ponting/story-e6frg26c-1226197649740 Knives are out..tomorrow's gonna be the do or die day for Pwnting, he needs to contribute heavily to make sure Australia wins this test and levels the series..yet another failure for him and Australia getting white-washed in a high profile series like this one could see Pwnting thrown out of the team for ever!
Trundler27 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I'm beginning to think that pontu will be out of the team for the India series. The managements' patience is running thin with him and unlike the Indian selectors, the Aussies are pretty ruthless and professional when it comes to leaving out non-performers and brand name players who are non-performers. Ponting :bye:
Jersey #10 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I hope he plays a master knock and wins the test for Australia. I just can't see a legend of Ponting's caliber being thrown out of the team like that. It just can not end like that, he deserves a proper send off. I want him to score big and also play against India.
Bradman99 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I feel Punter has earned that right to decide when he wants to quit' date=' Aussies should give longer leash because he deserves it.[/quote'] Well he already has been given a longer leash, it has got to the stage where his performances are genuinely affecting the team (he's not the only one). Johnson and Haddin as well. Hussey still has a bit more time because he was outstanding against England. Did Matt Hayden not deserve to decide when he wants to quit? He was dropped. Time for Ponting to be, his last chance should be the 2nd innings against SA.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 i can't believe people are talking about this loser as a threat to india in the upcming series. what has he done against india since the 2003/04 test series ? zilch. he has gone through entire tours getting screwed over time and again by harbhajan and ishant sharma. his last series was more memorable for the crying he did over zaheer telling him to 'run like usain bolt' than it was for his run-scoring...:haha: inshahahllah, i hope ponting plays against india. it would be awesome to watch us finish off his career, once and for all. B->B->B-> i dont think he will make it though. they will use the NZ series to bring in the new players.
MCcricket Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Ponting Ishant bunny and now will also be Ashwin's bunny, danger man if fit is Watson, Clarke, Hussey

Holysmoke Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Great, so who are we going to turn into a legend when we tour?

SachDan Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 he will make century in 3rd test against SA Unfortunately this is a two test match series.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 With the help of duas from Pakistanis for their adopted favorite son? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: wouldnt surprise me
Hur Rizvi Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 With the help of duas from Pakistanis for their adopted favorite son? No he doesnt need Duas he is a class player just going through lean patch...
Pagalpanti Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Well if it was Australia of old he'd have been dropped after World cup itself but its not like they have good batsman waiting to come in. I think he'll play NZ series as well and might be the last nail in the coffin if he fails there.
SachDan Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 No he doesnt need Duas he is a class player just going through lean patch... No he desperately needs duas from you guys..Pwnting's never been the same batsman ever since Pakis started distributing duas between him,Kallis, Amla and Sanga.
