How much Ponting mek?

Ponting has scores of 8, 0 and 0 in this series.. all three times dismissed lbw... twice to STEYN and once to philander... what do you think guys how much can he get in the last innings and do you think ponting will have a revival to his career when India tour down under this december.. I am sure he will atleat score 2 centuries if he is retained for the tests against us... will the australian selectors want to give him so many opportunities and is it justified???

Well the new selectors will come in soon and there is speculation he will be the first to go. His form has been terrible, he is in the side purely based on reputation. No scores higher then 50 for something like 23 matches is really bad for a number 3/4 batsman. Also, one of the reasons we collapse as often as we do. It's tough to tell someone who has been such a legend to leave, but I think someone has to make the tough call because every players time passes. I think Ponting's has passed. But don't be surprised if he gets a century in the 2nd innings

To be fair I think anyone could do better then Ponting is doing at the moment. Usman is not ready, I agree. We still have Marsh to come back, he will replace Khawaja though.. There are some other players who I think deserve a go. Even if we persist with Khawaja, he isn't doing any worse than Ponting is he?

I feel Punter has earned that right to decide when he wants to quit, Aussies should give longer leash because he deserves it.

Ponting has to go and before the home series against IND as if he plays against us he is not gonna miss out on that opportunity and he is going to thrash our inexperienced bowling lineup and come back to form in style..
