After some barren years against the better sides, I thought Dravid had regained his touch after that brilliant tour of England. But he looks out of sorts again :((

Its all very admirable that he managed to score runs when people were questioning him but I dont think this surface is all that different from an average flat track in India. Maybe its the one flat track inning that he needs to get his confidence back to score runs in difficult conditions.

Problem with Gambhir - the problem that has always been here is that he'll have 7-8 mediocre games in a row one good one and that will give him the mandate for another 7-8 mediocre games in a row.

Gambhir's problem is conversion of starts into something substantial. He will do all the hard work, get set and then throw it away.

BUMP Another failure for Gauti. His stats for the last 2 years now read 19 tests, 953 runs@28, no 100s, even worse than a struggling MSD has managed. Surely thats more than enough of a run for a player struggling for form. He clearly needs to go back to first class cricket and find his batting form again. Has got ito a habbit of throwing away too many starts. Additionally, the wretched form would also mean that the selectors will find it difficult to make him the captain if they decide to replace MSD with a new captain.

Yup...and he contributes nothing else on the field or in the bowling department. If he aint batting he needs to get out. Cant even chip in with a few overs ala Sehwag.
