And that innings was not played on a complete patta either and had Vaas and Murali in the opposition attack. It's probably the highest score chasing a target, made more impressive by the fact that no one from the Indian side crossed 40.

Sachin's innings was more classy - may be cause of the excitement surrounding the first 200, especially as he approached the milestone They both were different, but for me it would be more difficult to pick one. May have to see both ball by ball one after the other several times.

Again, Thanks Sammy:dance: The ground was super small too. The hits which seemed to have gone too high but didn't have distance were landing 20 rows back :haha: cut, edge, in the air ...everything was going to the boundary in Sehwag's case. He could have closed his eyes and he would have made that 219 on that day. It was just meant to be. :hysterical: all others hit expensive shots ? what is this Market?

Overall - I do not see much difference between the two innings - SRT's was pure chance-less knock, and Sehwag's was as daring as always. and I have mentioned earlier - in terms of brutality, Shane Watson's 185* is miles ahead of both of these. i didnt started the Stats nitpicking... i just shown how you can twist stats for your own requirement... Also many mentioned here the discussion is 219 vs 200* why Shane watson comes into picture...if thats the case you have to Bring Richards,Beast,Pathan etc... Also you see not much differences then obviously 219>200 ...why we are fighting then :winky:

Dhoni said he always knew Sehwag was capable of going past 200 in a one-dayer. "I had always believed that on his day, Sehwag has the ability to score 200 because apart from the big shots, he also uses the bowlers' pace against them and plays calculative innings," Dhoni told ANI. "It was a pleasure to watch him batting. Given his talent, he can do it again. So, hopefully, it will be done by him again."
