512 mb of ram is just not enough for android even iff things like processor are complicated people should just keep one thing in mind that never buy android device with low ram and also low storage even if there is ext sd card option as apps dont install on it anymore. and cortex a 5 ..just stay away from it :P
yaar 10k mein branded phones mein aur kya milega... as for the Indian brands - I've read a lot of reviews of some good phones from Karbonn, Lava, Xolo etc but most of them seem to have some major issues and customer support from the companies is not great.

^ If your friend can spare 2-3k more then Sony Xperia M is a very good option. Has got decent specs for a branded phone at that price. Or maybe Samsung galaxy s advance.

Phones configuration look like how desktop configuration looked like in the 90s lol. No matter how much a phone is juiced up there are certain limitations what you can do with a phone. Personally i would look for a great camera. Mp3 player used to be a big criteria for me. Not anymore. I know no smartphone will be bothered with producing great audio. Rest of the stuffs i can live without. I have a 2 GB data plan.. last 1 year or so i use 0.1% of 2GB every month lol.

Downloading IOS7 on iPhone 4s.. cant wait to use the same apps with differently shaped icons lol
From what i read from anandtech Ios7 is okay on 4s. But on 4 it really drags.. The next S-upgrade came with the iPhone 4S: Apple’s first smartphone to use a dual-core SoC. At the time I remember debate over whether or not a performance upgrade alone was enough to sell a new device, especially one that didn’t look any different. I’m pretty much never happy with the performance I have, so I eagerly welcomed the new platform. Looking back at the iPhone 4 vs. 4S today, I’d say the investment was probably worth it. In preparation for this review I threw iOS 7 on every iPhone that would support it, dating back to the iPhone 4. In my experience, the 4 is a bit too slow running iOS 7 - the 4S really should be the minimum requirement from a performance standpoint. http://anandtech.com/show/7335/the-iphone-5s-review

I have never been too excited about the phones. I dont get the ios vs Droid debate and why people get senti about it but what you have posted is a good thing to share. I was hoping with this upgrade ios would have allowed finger swipe for passcode lock but it doesnt seem like they implemented it. I have RSA token on my phone so I end up unlocking the damn thing every 20 mins and since I once lost my phone (stolen) and I was only able to get back due to the lock, I do not want to disable it.

True as long as we are very clear phone is just a communication device these debates won't exist. Infact at home i have linked my cellphone to my panasonic telephone with its link to cell option. I don't even touch cell phone except to charge or listening to songs via bluetooth on car.

^ My whole house is connected on ios. Apple TV is how I watch TV, ipad is how I facetime, iphone is how I check/reply emails and for tapatalk. I also have a macbook air but I hardly use it lol To me all smart phones allow this now so its about being comfortable/used/setup with one or the other. I am not going to change 5 devices at home because now some people on forum belive Android is cool and IOS is not so cool anymore. BTW Apple is losing its grip. I am more likely to ditch them and switch to android now than I was 12 months ago.

even 4s is slow with ios7. There is delay in opening apps and emails. Its not like that its super slow but I can notice the lag easily. Everything looks like a freaking cheap app .. I hate this .. :omg:
