Indian Bowlers are World Class in ODIs!!!

I don't understand why is it that everyone always say that India is a batting dominated country and our bowling is pathetic especially in ODIs where I think Indian bowlers are equal to if not better than most bowlers from other countries In terms of ODI wickets and since most countries playing cricket today started playing at nearly the same time and hence the bowling stats pretty much compatible without giving various teams unfair advantage of age old stats as in tests... India has produced 6 bowlers who have over 200 wickets with 2 of them getting more than 300 wickets in ODI's... the only other team which has the same number of bowlers with more than 200 wickets in ODIs is pakistan and the next closest team is Australia with four bowlers who have 200+ wickets Plus when it comes to bowlers with 100+ wickets even there we aren't lagging too much behind with only Pakistan and Australia having more bowlers to take more than 100 wickets... i.e Pakistan has 16 bowlers with 100+ wickets while Aus have 15 such bowlers and India being the so called poor bowling side has 14 of them.... and this being the case with us playing on so called flat tracks. Discuss Guys..

when u play 220 odd odis like bhajji piking 250 is easy and even sachin has 154 wickets.. teams like england dont play many odis so they dont pick that many wickets same with south africa more over no of wickets is not really best way to measure bowling line up tell me how many bowlers have come from india who can turn matches like wasim akram? zaheer is theo nly one who i remember turning matches dont know abt srinath was too young when he was in his prime :P thats why india is considered poor its just my opinion i know many people would disagree more over i think test performances should be basis cosi n it .is clear totally weather bowling is good or not.. cos to win matches u need 20 wickets when batsman is defending

kumble is for me atg! but never saw him bowl much in odis :(( when i really got into cricket he only played tests.. so.idk lol in tests he was match winner even in his last few years he was our biggest match winner after he retired see how bhajji's performance dropped but in odis when i started watching matches near 2003 world cup he was out of form in new zealand and after that bhajji eventually replaced him in odis srinath like i said never saw him in his prime and odis are not really remembered!

Look at average and bowling S/R of bowlers you'll get the true picture. :winky: and look no further than last 3 matches. Last wicket partnership of 50 and 100. World class indeed..

Not really. We have fielded and bowled quite well when at full strength. In 2011, its been our batting which has let us down. Take the WC for example. All the crux matches have been won ( baring the final) because of average to above average bowling and inspired fielding. People were going crazy seeing Yuvraj and Raina field in the final. Some of the loudest cheers of that day were heard when they dived.
