G_B_ Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 A lot of people calling vinay a trundler. Now for me personally, somebody bowling consistently below 75mph is a trundler. I am talking average speed. Forget the slow balls. Just wanted to know what people on this mb think as their definition of the same. I would not call Vinay a trundler. Not fast. but not slow either.
CSK Fan Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Vinay, I think anyone bowling less than 80 mph is a trundler
G_B_ Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 hey ettc hows it going? finish ya book? well if 80mph is your line in the sand metaphorically. In the current ODI series and against England, Vinay has consistently bowled more than 80mph.
Magneto Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Someone who 'trundles' should be called a 'trundler'. Simple.

G_B_ Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Someone who 'trundles' should be called a 'trundler'. Simple. but who trundles. context is necessary right? I mean to somebody who runs a 100m a 1000m runner is a trundler. Take Mark Eelham. Longest run up in the world and an extremely slow delivery speed. That dude ran in as well. Its not as if he was walking or strolling in.
G_B_ Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Its been publsihed' date=' thats all I will say[/quote'] do pm me its name. I am sure you have used a pen name to publish it right?

gaurav92 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 A bowler who runs faster than his delivery is called a trundle in my book :P
G_B_ Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 A bowler who runs faster than his delivery is called a trundle in my book :P so basically nobody :--D
The Realist Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 ^All of the above ^ In this case its probably easier to define who is not a trundler cause there are so many of them.
Magneto Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 A bowler who runs faster than his delivery is called a trundle in my book :P Darren Sammy, Tapash Baishya and Madan Lal types.
Needforspeed Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 A bowler whose normal deliveries are less than 135K
Number Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 In this series he has hardly bowled in the death overs. He always bowls at a decent (that too slow only 80-85) in the first 5-6 overs. His speed goes down in the 2nd or 3rd spell after 30 overs. He bowled an over in England where his speed was below 100 kmph ..shame. Let him bowl a few overs after 30 overs , he will be back to his 110 kmph pies.
