Oh you fool, Perth is not the same fastest wicket in Australia which it used to be in 80's and 90's. It has gone down in pace since later half of 2000. They've flatten it out a bit. It was the fastest pitch but not anymore. Current pitch where Australia and NZ are playing the game, if conditions are like that than India will have tough time. Don't need fast pitch but a little bit swing and seaming conditions are enough for Australian bowlers to exploit. They've 4 quickies and India has only 1.

Yes, it seems that the conditions are pretty heave in Oz this time around. May be the places where the matches are being played are generally overcast this time around. But we would have a tough time if the conditions and the pitches are what they are right now in the Oz-NZ series. They resemble more of the English conditions.

You never know of Zak. His body is so fragile that he may end up getting an injury even in his nails or hair. Yadav is new. Also, post the English tour, I would seriously wait and watch before jumping the gun :--D

zaheer can swing,yadav can swing ishant isnt a swing bowler but he will like these conditions , ashwin is totally out of equation on these tracks may get some bounce and his batting would be a plus

Dont give them ideas, OP. Our batting doesnt do well in seaming conditions. They are good in hard, bouncy conditions which are typical in Australia and only our batting can win us games. Bowling looks fragile if Zaheer gets injured which is a very likely possibility.

I think Indian batting is more capable on any kind of tracks that they prepare... we have the better batting line-up and we have seen that both India and Australia struggle when the ball seams or swings so i guess if they prepare a green pitch and we have ZK, UY, IShu fit then its good for us... Aussies after the game at Newlands and Hobart won't even go near a green pitch for some time now

I know that Einstein. What I mean is the batsmen have to put big scores on board so the bowlers could put pressure on the opposition and take wickets. If the batsmen dont score well, its hard to expect an inexperienced bowling attack like we have to bail us out.

i think they should prepare wickets like 1st test if they want to have advantage.. green tracks will suit us more cos our dravid alone is better than all the australian batsmen on these kind of tracks.. more over if zaheer,yadav,ishant are fit they are no less then siddle,pattinson ,starc /harris (if fit)

If we win toss, we should bat first. If we bowl first, then hope the bowlers do a good enough job but with the likely possibility that we wont run through the opposition, the batsmen should bat exceptionally well in the 1st innings and get us a lead so we can put pressure on them in the second innings. That's how India has won most test matches overseas in the recent past. Our batting has been our biggest strength, not our seamers or spinners. Once Dravid, Sachin and VVS go, it will become very apparent.

If Zak is fit, any Australian pitch is OK. When he is around, the other bowlers too bowl well. The way he got vital breakthroughs during the World Cup was amazing.
