bulbul Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Hope RCB gets Jaddu :winky:..that will solve our second spinner problem.. the guy will cross atleast 1.5 millions i forgot current ICF favourite VK... better than mithun or Arvind in T20 The player auction for the 2012 IPL will be held in late January or early February and the teams will have an additional salary cap of $2 million, ESPNcricinfo has learned. The players from the Kochi Tuskers Kerala franchise, which was terminated earlier this year, will be part of the auction. Most Important :yay: In other IPL news, Chris Gayle is likely to stay with Royal Challengers Bangalore as a rule that allows the team which hired the replacement player to have the first right over him has been retained. Gayle transformed Royal Challengers' fortunes after being brought in following Australia fast bowler Dirk Nannes' injury early in the 2011 season, steering the team to the finals. http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-premier-league-2012/content/current/story/544638.html IPL section closed so posted here
IKnowU Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Does this auction include all the players? If so, I officially give up on IPL. :headshake: Trying to kill the golden goose :banghead: Its a embarrassment to see players getting auctioned off every year like cattle, no loyalty, no support for the dedicated/loyal fans, but all about the money. From it could have been to what it is now.....tsk tsk

Ah ok. But a squad of 33 :giggle: BCCI can go feck itself and learn to run a league properly. What kind of tournament has a 33 man squad for which it only last 1 - 2 months? Not even the most renowned leagues such as NBA or EPL has even at half at most in the squad numbers, and they play at least 6 months to 8 months of the year.......... They really need to abolish this auction bewlshit and introduce much more comprehensive trading schemes and free agency options for players. Just because you play international kirkut or good at tontee tontee shouldnt guarantee you a IPL contract, it should be upto the franchises to select who they want from wherever they want. Atm, franchises are basically forced to bid and buy players from the list BCCI gives them.

They are benefited here and regarding big squad because most of these players are not available always, especially 10 overseas because of their country duties or injuries.
Spiderguy252 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Who cares about the IPL. Move on, people.
