Dhoni has been hogging the WK spot unfairly across all the formats. :WTF:?????????????????????????????? In tests Dhoni is not good but in ODIs???? Also, Papa is young blood, needs to be groomed for future. Dhoni himself said, that he might not play in WC2015. That is why even in ODIs there has to be some rotation of wicket keepers. VRV Singh Posted February 21, 2012 Share Posted February 21, 2012 Dropthiv does not fit the bill in any way. You are unlikely to find another Dhoni. But his replacement should at least fill a role. In a first choice XI without Dhoni, Dropthiv will never open. So you are forced to hide him in the batting order like today. He is even a mediocre opener. Plus he is bloated and prone to howlers. Nonsense recycled selection without any thought. There must be alternatives. Link to comment

MCcricket Posted February 21, 2012 Share Posted February 21, 2012 Parthiv Patel is not an ODI bat , his average in domestic ODI is also around 20's, he cannot hit big shots or rotate strike, selectors are a bunch of nin compoops.Saha, Ojha , Kartik SHOULD BE IN odi's.Jadeja also is not convincing to deserve a place as a batsmen.Very impressed with Irfan he looked better then most of our batsmen, bowled well also, hopefully Dhoni learns from here and he becomes an integeral part of this team.India needs to play Rahul Sharma, bench Jadeja , Raina and get Zak in.
