lets just say - even if they made up the rules, but the calculation is correct within them - it should be fine. However, if one persists with 'wrong' rules, despite being pointed out - that would be being stupid.

Akshay... I was a bit involved.... How L Hospital rule not applicable..... as long as number 10 is not a number but a variable i may be mistaken? Long time no maths...

long time for me too, but remember such basic stuff. Limits calculations is for different purpose ( for testing continuity and differentiability of functions) at a given value of variable...the one under discussion is a case of simple division. As for L'Hopital rule, it is applicable for the limits calculations which reduce to the form 0/0, inf/inf, 0^0, inf ^ inf, 1^inf....when tried direct substitution of value. Still, even if you want to apply L'Hopital rule in this case - for whatever reason, it is not applicable..as it is of the form "non-zero / zero"

Because you sound geek :fear:... So i had to think some option other than simple maths
geek or not, you don't have to start splitting atoms for simple equations. anyway here is the answer..
2 = 6/3 = 4/3 + 2/3 = 1.333... + 0.666...= 1.999...
