ali0786 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 He is very good in ODI's and Average-Above Average in tests. I would prefer Ajmal in ODI's and Kaneria in Tests. Kaneria is a much better bowler than what his stats suggest, he has been robbed off wickets on countless occasions by Akmal.

daryl1985 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Very good spinner. Better in ODI's IMO. I can't believe him and Saqlain Mushtaq are the same age.

Ajmal had an okay test series against Bangladesh as well, nothing special.

MCcricket Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Quite simply it has been games against alowly opposition, at slow low tracks, Ashwin to me is a better , more skillful bowler, also his doosra and action on the whole is not smooth, but then they let Murali bowl, who was a blatant chucker.
J P K Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Saeed AJmal has taken 50 wickets in tests and is the highest wicket taker for the year 2011. 8 tests in 2011 1 against Zim 6 wickets @32 2 against WI 17 wickets @14 3 against SL 18 wickets @28 2 against Ban 9 wickets @25 Is this real good spin bowling or is it minnow bashing?Discuss dude srilanka and bagla might be minnows but they are good player of spin u have cleverly excluded his figure against england in england 3 test against eng 12 wickets @29.41
ViruRulez Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Leaving apart Chuckmal, on a second thought we had been one of the best producer of spinners and many of the best spinners have been traditionally from India. Sadly Bhajji blocked the spot and destroyed our spin department for many years. Prior to Bhajji, we were always known for producing some of the best spinners around the world. In fact, spin and batting were always our two biggest strengths. Hope that the young kids like Ashwin and Ojha bring back India's spin reputation again.
THX_1138 Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 his opposition has been weak. atrociously weak, but he is easily the best spinner in the world at the moment. however, a certain ashwin is on the rise. the two may very well be contenders for the title of the best spinner in the coming year when pakistan plays some better opponents.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted December 24, 2011 Author Posted December 24, 2011 dude srilanka and bagla might be minnows but they are good player of spin u have cleverly excluded his figure against england in england 3 test against eng 12 wickets @29.41 Bangladesh LOL they can play anything.WI spinners had them in a stick. Lanka. The only quality player of Lanka was Sanga see he scored runs. Did the England series happen in 2011?Read the OP.

bajrang Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 meh... saqlain was better until batsmen got adjusted to him.
India-KXIP fan Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Saeed Ajmal best spinner in the world Brilliant. 7/55 against the world number 1 on a track which was not turning too much.
bulbul Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Matt prior is Best wicket keeper / Batsman in the world Matt prior is Best wicket keeper / Batsman in the world
ganeshran Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Wonderful bowling. Still chucks both his variations though
Tiger80 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Is he not the biggest chucker of present time?
BERGKAMP Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 he is a blatant chucker but extremely talented no doubt.
