People who hate pace spend more time on the speed threads criticizing the posters there. Their post number on speed threads is often higher than the so called speed fanatics. :haha:

In the process you are going slowly insane. :haha: On a more serious note I think you are missing the point of many of the posters. Lively pace or higher is only one of the many qualities needed to be a strike bowler but we Indians don't have lively seamers by the droves. Just look at our domestic cricket. So many guys bowling at the pace of sick kids elsewhere. That is why fans get excited when we get someone on the quicker side. If the quick guy does not turn out to be a good bowler after a decent run then he should not be persisted with and somebody new should be tried. All quick bowlers are not good bowlers but unless you have experience it is very difficult to become a strike bowler at medium pace. So inexperienced bowlers need atleast lively pace.

i agree but u can easily tell who will become good bowler and who will not yadav can bowl at 150( now thats very quick) he has natural out swinger good free action and well built now he will succeed sooner or later but some one like mithun with his action wont even if he bowls at 140.. good thing for us aaron was selected ahead of others and other quick guy dinda (not as quick) is out performing every one lately i wont mind 130 k bowler but i do mind 120k that to me isnt international class jsut look today when zaheer was bowling very slowly was he that effective? at his best he cracked up pace over 135 now thats good enough with lots of skill prob with our bowlers is pathan some times bowl at 116 lmfao

Dinda bowls 135 to 145 k's, is very skiddy, moves the ball, has stamina and is fit , aggressive, can be a weapon in test's along with Gony, I am not sure how on earth u can pick , Mithun, VK, UNADKAT OVER THESE BOWLER.:sherlock:

All true. Zaheer took 2 wickets today when he was at his quickest and bowling between 135 k to 140 k and hit the deck hard. Whenever he dropped down to the 120s he looked ordinary. There definitely is difference between 125 k and 130 k +. A 130 k bowler can be good if he is skilled and experienced but for the first 6 / 7 years of a pacer's career it is very difficult to be good at 130 k as he does not have knowledge of different conditions and which line and length to bowl. Steep bounce is also very helpful if one thinks of succeeding at 130 k. McGrath, Pollock, Walsh -- the guys who bowled 130 k during the last 2 years of their careers and still succeded were all very tall and got steep bounce.

The reason people who have played at decent level or int coaches players, salivate over quick bowlers is , they can be a weapon, also 125 to 130 k is a huge difference when u r trying to play , anyone bowling 150 and above can make any batsmen in the world nervous, every 5 k is huge difference and that grows exponentially as us start from 130 to 150 plus. Also faster the bowler depending on action U GET MORE BOUNCE, OR REVERSE AS MORE U PUT INTO THE BALL THE MORE U GET OUT OF IT, Zak bowling at 129 looked average, at 145 k made the batsmen jump and looked very threatening. Gimme ZAK bowling at 140 plus consistenly and I will choose him over any bowler currently playing cricket, he has the ability to plan the batsmen out, can swin seam, reverse old new ball, very good over and around the wicket, can get wickets on any tracks, he is the best fast bowler India had till date only he took a long time to mature , his last 4 to 5 years have been fantastic and compares with the best has won us more games recently then any other bowler also he is a team man, guiding the younger lot,Zak haters are whiners.

This was a good wicket for batting, not a sportywicket with sub par batting scores or a green track, because of the overcast conditions rain, infact the wicket was slow, will get faster as it dries out, nothing compared to tracks in SA, Perth.Aussies are actually worried about our bowlers, they have different tracks to when NZ were there.:giggle:

May not get to play. MSD may go back to the 3 spinner-2 pacer formula with the bowling attack of Jadeja, Ashwin, Rahul Sharma, PK and Irfan. Howevere if there is a lot of dew we may see him getting a game somewhere.
