Tell me' date=' why do you guys always settle for just mediocracy ? Why can't you want a bowler with all the attributes ? Why does it have to be either accuracy or pace ? The Aussies are showing and many attacks have shown that both are possible.[/quote'] I want bowlers with all the attributes but for me the primary attributes are line & length. You have to at least bowl line & length for the pace to count. Without these attributes pace is nothing but easy pickings for intl batsmen.

Problem is, inspite of having one of the slowest attacks , the Indian pace attack in the last 20 years or so have been one of the most inaccurate attacks in the world. It is not as if we have anybody with Kapil's accuracy and quality nowadays. Atleast in Australia, quick inaccurate bowling got us quick wickets in the first test. Just remember England, what happened with medium pace bowling with medium accuracy. That being said we should not settle for anything less than accurate quick bowling. Anything else will not get us strike bowlers.

What's the phucking point of bowling fast when you can't bowl consistent line and length? Bowling fast and spraying it all over gets you in the same class as Mohammed Sami and right now our bowlers are an insult even to Sami. I would rather have 120-130 kph trundlers like PK and Pathan who can at least bowl straight.
bowling straight at 125 is not enough to get wickets. Look at Aussies if they would have been bowling at that pace do you think our batsmen would have struggled. It is pace with accuracy and movement which has troubled our batsmen. Their foot work has been slow against genuine pace. Our bowlers need to do more smart work in the nets and do methodical practice rather than just coming and bowling to batsmen. They need do more target practice.
