Completely agree with you. Give me an McGrath, Zaheer, Aasif, Wasim over the other any day. But then again i was commenting on the thread topic, which is about speedy bowlers.
what baout west indies pace bowling? also akram was fairly quick in his prime even mcgrath was near 88 miles in his prime no really medium pacers.. :dontknow: even steyn isnt a express bowler in tests he hardly bowls over 146 pace is important most of the gr8s have pace atleast at some stage of there career u wont see likes of praveen kumar become gr8 tell me one gr8 medium pacer in last 10 years? msot of good bowlers have been quicker ones

Mc Grath, Zaheer and Wasim they all used to bowl 138+ in their younger days. So if someone says these bowlers were just medium pacer and still they were so successful, I don't agree. Yes, they were not tearaway quicks. IMO, when a bowler is young, he should look to bowl fast then with experience he can still trouble the batsmen at lower pace. Same is the case in every sports, be it football, tennis or else, younger players are quicker, swift and attacking whereas older uses their experience for the lack of pace.

If you feel the conditions are a the reason for the production for a fast bowler then how would you explain Nannes from Netherlands? Pakistan produce fast bowlers in very similar condition to India. Sri Lanks produced Malinga. I dont think you can put condition down as a reason.
Nannes was from Australia basically. Just like other Pakistan fast bowlers except Shoaib, we have also produced some genuine quicks like Munaf, Sreesanth and Javagal Srinath. But, they all slowed down later in their careers coz we don't have fast bowling culture and for some other reasons, mainly fitness. About Sri Lanka, I don't remember any other genuine quick apart from Malinga. And even Malinga is not a 150+ bowler.

Umesh Yadav in his latest interview said he can bowl even faster. He reckon he can go upto 155 k.

I am sure he will be a totally different bowler after this Australia tour. Playing test matches in Australia really teaches you a lot.

pattinson clocked 152 against us cummings is also very quick then there is morkel who ism uch quicker then sami and co in test (if he wants to ) and if u included tait why nt include lee too ? :P there are many players missing tbh

^^pattinson and cummins are not that consistent wen it comes to express pace and morkel's pace in odis and tests are not as fast his t20's thus he isnt quick enough to be in top 10 and lee is the third fastest ever bowler in ma view but as of now he is not that fast that he used to be cos of the age factor but yes he is still in the 140s but not quick enough to be in top ten though

aaron too bowled around 145 in the test he played and pattinson is not as consistent as aaron in bowling 90s so i thought aaron is quicker den pattinson

no he did not i watched that match he was in high 130's and lower 140's for most part i think ishant bowled quicker then him and ishat himself increased his pace in australia pattinson is quicker then aaron and has bowled more overs at international stage i think
