King Tendulkar Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 It does feel like 90s again. In the fact we are horrible again. I am shell shocked
Pagalpanti Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 It does feel like 90s again. In the fact we are horrible again. I am shell shocked After this tour we won't be playing outside SC up until 2014. So better times ahead :winky:
rabinjackman Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 atleast our bowling seems better than the 90's
adi B Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 bring back sree nd bhaj , u`ll see the 90`s getting converted to 2050
zep1706 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 After this tour we won't be playing outside SC up until 2014. So better times ahead :winky: But if we lose this series like the English series I won't be able to enjoy any of those potential victories :((
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 In the 90s Tendulkar at least managed to get 100s. Currently he's struggling to get a half century and we are going gaga over his 30s and 40s :hysterical:
The Outsider Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 As bad as we were away from home in the 90s, we were never as bad as we were in England last year or might be in Australia right now. Please don't insult the team of the 90s. I've followed Indian cricket closing in for the better part of 3 decades and never seen anything like England.
Ram Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 As bad as we were away from home in the 90s' date=' we were never as bad as we were in England last year or might be in Australia right now. ganeshran Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Maybe we do well only in alternate decades :dontknow:
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Is that why we won a sum total of ONE test abroad that too in Zimbabwe - during the entire 90s? :winky: We beat SL as well during that period :--D
The Outsider Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Is that why we won a sum total of ONE test abroad that too in Zimbabwe - during the entire 90s? :winky: Actually we won a series in Sri Lanka too, something which we haven't managed since. And obviously I am not referring to the number 1 test side we were till a year back, but the performance in England - heck even Pakistan won a test there when half their team was busy throwing away matches and Sri Lanka managed to draw two out of three.

ganeshran Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 The question is - when will see rock bottom from where we can actually start improving :nervous:
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 The question is - when will see rock bottom from where we can actually start improving :nervous: Won't happen unless our selectors and board man up and have a transition plan in place. Else you will see all our seniors continue and fill their boots next 2 years at home and then retire leaving us with greenhorns when we have to tour abroad again.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Else you will see all our seniors continue and fill their boots next 2 years at home . they cant even do that anymore. somebody needs to rip up the team sheet and start with a new page.
Sachin=GOD Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 The question is - when will see rock bottom from where we can actually start improving :nervous: I don't think we can go any lower than what happened in England.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I don't think we can go any lower than what happened in England. Just wait and watch... there are 2 more tests to go and this time we have our best side other than PK.
Needforspeed Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Indian team performance....Welcome back to the 50s.
ganeshran Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I don't think we can go any lower than what happened in England. We already are lower than that abyss. Keep in mind that this side is much weaker than the English side
