ganeshran Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 ^ +1. The opening stand is crucial. RD has become the de facto opener in face of one of them gifting their wicket away. If we atleast get a 70-80 run opening stand while batting, we can atleast put up a better fight.
Jersey #10 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 do you have any doubts about that...even Hater like me realised it already That's a very strong word to use for such a big contributor to the game you claim to love so much.
BestVRest Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Sydney is a classic test ground, the atmosphere is awesome and has produced some great cricket over the decades, if any of you guys from India come to visit Australia I suggest you try and watch a game of cricket at the SCG. Aussie sports grounds are some of the best in the world when it comes to spectator comfort and amenities. India could learn a lot about how to build great stadiums by following the Aussie blue print.
Jersey #10 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 SCG 2008 - We resume from here [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyaz0g0EBXc]2nd test India vs Australia - The Fake Game Playing - YouTube[/ame]
BERGKAMP Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Can we get 100th 100 on the 100th test at SCG? nope, it is never going to happen. just as bradman got stuck on 99 so will tendu.
Misu243 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 FECKKKK this made me cry for Dravid...also FECK Gilchrist faker for appealing like a mad man...the bat was nowhere near the bat. Lets win this SYDNEY TEST 2012 for Dravid!!
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 We have made Aussies pace attack look like WI of 80s Pattinson has looked McGrath and Ambrose rolled into one, Siddle has looked like Holding reincarnate and Hifenhaus a Andy Roberts clone. Thankfully we haven't made Lyon look like Warne/Saqlain :two_thumbs_up: But the amazing part is that batting looks easier whenever Ashwin is bating throughout the series. Maybe we should have Ashwin open the batting - I read somewhere Ashwin used to open in his school days. Surely he can't be as bad as others and it will allow us to play one more batsman in Rohit Sharma :--D
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 pattinson is quality. he will be around for a long time. siddle, hilf are OK, but nothing special. niether is lyon. ashwin doesnt have the reflexes of a 40 year old, hence why he is succesful.

Texan Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 So if Holding, Roberts and Ambrose are taken, then I guess when the first choice bowlers come back... Harris = Malcolm Marshall? Cummins = Joel Garner?
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 So if Holding, Roberts and Ambrose are taken, then I guess when the first choice bowlers come back... Harris = Malcolm Marshall? Cummins = Joel Garner? I can assure you that if Harris and Cummins get a shot at India's lineup they will walk away with a 5 fer. Both of them must be cursing their luck for getting injured just before playing India else they would have had some cheap wkts.
adi B Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 surely the indian batsmen have made legends out of these rookies nd out of form guys prime example was broad, but one exception is lyon is looking worse than jimmy adam :haha:
Stuge Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Countdown to 300 +1 runs With new ball around. Can we score 300 runs ??` Lets Cheer
Raghav_12 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I am not confident. New ball is due and we have seen tendency of Innings collapse after Sachin getting out..
