2nd test at Sydney; Pre-match and Review thread

Now that the first test is as good as lost, let's talk about the next one. First up, the team. Here's what I think the team should look like: Sehwag Rahane Dravid Sachin Laxman R Sharma Dhoni Ashwin Z Khan I Sharma Yadav

i like that lineup. one change i would make is moving gambhir to 3 and dropping dravid. gambhir needs to get away from the new bal. once he gets in, he will make it count. he isn't a worthless piece of trash like dravid. dhoni would be dropped in an ideal world, but i don't see it happening. some ICFer needs to do the indian team a favour and hit dravid on the shin with a crowbar. make sure he doesnt play the next game.

So has Lax, Gauti, Viru, Dhoni, Kohli..... then drop them all. Dravid atleast scored 3 100s in Englund FFS

No they will stick with the same lineup. If gauti and kohli fail again, they might experiment, but Perth will be a tough initiation for rahane and rohit. We are phaacked either way. No people waiting in the wings are not capable enough to bat well in Australia.

this is what will happen. Much as I want Rohit to be in for Kohli, I also think that Kohli deserves one more Test before being dropped. As for Gambhir - he will play all 4 Test if he is fit throughout the series.

I dont see what can done about the batsmen.some of them just cant play anymore,its just that simple.we just have to console ourselves with watching some good bowling performance and hope the young players can get some experience .

can't understand with ppl going after dravid here. he has been the best indian batsman this year. not sure whether they will change the team for the second test, but would like to see rahane in place of gambhir and rohit in place of kohli
