Did not have the best technique or avg but could grind it out in tough conditions for 50-60.
after ganguly our no 6 batsman yuvraj, kohli, raina has failed miserably. We need to give rohit sharma a chance.

Ganguly was India's top three best ODI BATS, also a good test player, he was a leftie was elegant like David Gower, I have seen him play live and was mesmerized by his gift of timing and ability to find the gaps, to me the best, most inspirational captain for India,he made our team a team of fighters, he groomed the players, brought the good players and nurtured them ,if he had the team we have curently we would be invincible.Dhoni could learn a lot from this guy, especially in how he operates in test's and prefers duds to talented 11 in the team, Unadkat lol over Umesh, I guess with Dhoni at the helm we wont see Pathan in the team too, very unimaginative and defensice capt, we lost a few games bcoz of him.

The best thing about Ganguly was his fighting spirit. His 100 on the opening day of 2004 tour was a great statement of intent by him and lifted his side that went on to challenge a great Aus side in their own back yard.

Cricket is a sport and should be enjoyed as one. Its because of this great game we are communicating with total strangers sitting thousand of miles apart.

More than Dada the batsman, Dada the captain is being missed. Dhoni has completely lost the plot and looks totally disinterested. A struggling batting line up means the team cannot cover for his inefficiencies as a leader. And the worrying thing is, there is no one ready to take over from him as a skipper. GG is in terrible form, Sehwag doesn't inspire any confidence and rest are new comers or too old to lead.

Agree...too defensive..let them off the hook at 27/4...could not have gotten the better opportunity than that...Zak and Ishant also let the team down when needed to come to the party in both the innings, late burst by Zak was not enough in both innings...

Utterly ridiculous and totally clueless as if he doesn't want to win.

But bowlers have every right set their own field according to what they want to bowl and still they need to bowl well which they did not do on consistent basis.
