Where are good quality emerging test batsmen in cricket

Whether we like it or not, the era of typical 'Test' batsmen are over. Today's batsmen play so many limited overs cricket that they are finding it difficult to adapt to Test Cricket. Even those batsmen whose style is meant for the longer formats, are trying to become good T20 players. Its simply a matter of economics. Apart from England, there are hardly any batsmen below the age of 30 who can perform consistently in tests. India's big 3, Amla, Kallis, Ponting, Hussey, Chandrapaul etc are all batsmen who started their career before the profile of international cricket changed so much. At the same time you can see bowlers getting better and quicker with more varieties. In T20 & ODI, they have to bowl on flat tracks with batsmen going after them. I dont know how long Test criket will last, but I think in future most test teams are going to have good bowling attacks with average batting.
+1 today it is all about power, not technique. we will feel the real effects of this in a few years time when a player making a test century will be very rare for all teams.

i can see one day when i am telling my grand children that when i was young cricket used to be played over 5 days, it will confuse the crap out of them and they will laugh their heads off.

Tell me, how many English, Aussie batsmen have done consistently well in sub continent conditions ? Very few. But they are strangely considered good test match batsmen despite this whereas if Indian batsmen dont do well over there, they are not good enough. Hypocritical.Anyway, the reason why Engish or Aussie batsmen struggle so much over here is because they have never had too much experience playing quality spin or playing in sub continent conditions. Not necessarily because they are not "good enough". Same goes for Indian batsmen playing in seaming, bouncy conditions. The more they play in alien conditions the better they will get.
well said . some of still need approval from Englis/ozs about our players , hate those self loating types which we unfortunately have lots .
