Sir john Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 wele should be man of match umpires
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 SA are chokers in Durban. Even you guys will somehow win there. But South Africa loses only by choking! Isn't that the case?:winky: SL showed great fight in alien conditions. They fared worse on flat tracks against a bowling side much inferior to SAF.
Cricket Tragic Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Thanks for proving my point. SL aren't pushovers as most people are making them out to be. Downgrading our series victory over them. I bet today's victory will shut many a mouth:king: I was joking brah. Good luck vs England. Hoping for a 0-0 draw. :yay:

Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 SL minus samaraveera and with Lady Jaya out of form are pushovers. We had a new bowling attack as well. Don't know why you're complaining. Samaraweera had a poor series against Oz so his exclusion may be justified, to an extent. P.S: How can one team beat the other if all players are in form :winky:
daryl1985 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 SA choked. All out to bad shots to Wele who is rubbish. That is what screwed them up. Herath just cleaned the tail both times. Sri Lanka are a poor test outfit and SA will go on to show that. Mate, save your hate for another thread (probably an Ishant one). Well done Lanka.

However, Sri Lanka have looked pretty poor since Murali retired (until they won this test).

Your new bowling attack is irrelevant to Lanka being pushovers, which without Samaraveera they are.
Dravid_TheWall Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Mate, save your hate for another thread (probably an Ishant one). Well done Lanka. Save your sucking up for another thread. SA choked, Lanka did not win. You must be blind to think otherwise, clearly didn't watch the game. Normal service shall be resumed in next match.
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Pakistan played very well and were worthy winners. However' date=' Sri Lanka have looked pretty poor since Murali retired (until they won this test).[/quote'] That's true. But a bad run doesn't qualify a team to be labelled a "minnow". Minnows can't perform like SL did yesterday. :hatsoff: once again to the fight shown by SL against Morkel, Steyn and de Lange. Comprehensively beat the hosts.
Rajiv Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Why do all conversation somehow round up about Pakistan? I was merely complimenting their comeback in SA. Beating SA in SA is bigger achievement than losing to Pak in 3rd party land

But a Samaraweera less SL is on same level as WI and NZ.

Minnows can't perform like SL did yesterday. :hatsoff: once again to the fight shown by SL against Morkel, Steyn and de Lange. Comprehensively beat the hosts. Minnow can perform like that at times. Remember how minnows Bangladesh almost beat Pakistan who were saved by Inzy? If Bangladesh can do that and SL are not even minnows, just crapish. Consistency and dominance is what makes a great team. SA choked, simple as. Watch next test match.

You must be blind to think otherwise, clearly didn't watch the game. Normal service shall be resumed in next match.[/quote'] I didn't watch much of the game as i was tired from watching the Australia-India test match. However, Sri Lanka must have done some things well to win so convincingly. I think you have misunderstood the meaning of the term "Choke." Teams or individuals are generally considered to choke in big matches or in high pressure situations. Being 1-0 up in home conditions against a Sri Lanka side who have not won a test since Murali retired does not constitute a big match or a high pressure situation. They simply played badly while the Lankans seemed to overperform. See you on an anti-Ishant thread soon pal.

It was a combanation of bad shot selection due to over confidence and then panic! Go and watch Wele's 5 for then get back to me. LOL all except one were average deliveries. This is why SA will hammer them next game. Your obsession with Ishant is tiring :two_thumbs_up:
ali0786 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Losing by 208 runs is not a choke, its just a complete thrashing. Choke would be if they lost by 10 runs or so. Well done Sri Lanka, hope they win or draw the series.
MCcricket Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Kudos to Lanka, Sanga well he is the class player in the side, I only see him look good and score away from the subcontinent, SL Bowling was ok, SA Batting was bad.
peterparker Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 shame on indian cricket team for losing to australia where as sri lanka don't travel abroad and yet are victorious
Cricket Tragic Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 shame on indian cricket team for losing to australia where as sri lanka don't travel abroad and yet are victorious That's truly amazing. They were victorious in SA without travelling out of SL? :omg:
