Against England, it was more a case of poor batting from a line up down on confidence. The pitch wasn't a minefield. England scored plenty on it (more than 600 I think).

Not so sure now only because they have to knock someone out to get him in. Saying that he should play and based on the pitch it should be at the expense of the spinner Lyon (he is not going to present any difficulty for the Indian bats from 1 -11. Watson will not play in Sydney. He said yesterday he will not be ready till at least Perth. I would say though if there is any possibility, he will be picked to bolster the brittle batting int he top order

He is totally the opposite direction to that being taken by Aus selectors in the past 12+ months

Will rely on Harris being absolutely right to go and a little on the pitch but there is little doubt that is the line up. While this bowling may present some problems for the current Indian batting line up based on some inconsistent results, it is Australia's batting that is key. I don't think Indian bowling is anythin less than the Aust line up (just need to bowl a little more consistent legnth in the second test - sure that will happen), but our batting is very brittle att he moment and India probably only need one or two to stand up to put a lot of pressure on the home side.

I know its a very different form of cricket but he just looked off... He wasnt bowling with his usual aggression and he looked to have dropped about 5-7 kmh and he wasnt really thinking about his bowling and got spanked around the park :( I dont like Marsh either... This would be my team (realising Watson is still injured), but it would never happen: 1. Warner 2. Haddin (he needs something to get his form back, opening just might work) 3. Ponting 4. Clarke 5.
