Need to get Rohit' date=' Pujara, Rahane in at the earliest. At least they will be better fielders & catchers and will at least be able to run 3.[/quote'] Yes, it is better to give the youngsters a chance right now.......

Yes' date=' it is better to give the youngsters a chance right now.......[/quote'] At least it's bearable watching youngsters try and fail than see pensioners try to bend or run on the field. It's pathetic to see Laxman run. If he had managed to run 3, which any fit sportsperson would have, he wouldn't be facing the ball he got out on.

Rohit for Kohli/Laxman (depending on how Kohli does) and Rahane for Ghambir for next test. In England we had the excuse that we are not used to playing when the ball is moving so much and our bowling put us under more pressure, here in Aus the ball is swinging alot less but we are getting undone with the bounce which doesnt make sense given the fact that Laxman/Dravid/Sehwag have all done well previously at SCG Also did anyone see the team sheet for when SRT scored his 240+ at the SCG, we went in with Agarkar+Pathan as our pacers and then 2 spinners Karthik n Kumble!!

It is less frstrating to see inexperience getting defeated than these maharathis getting pwned again and again!

One would have thought we would have learnt lessons from the Eng tour. Guess not! And then these guys will fill their boots at home and everything will be swept under the carpet and forgotten. I am sure these players will fetch 2 million dollars+ a pop in the next IPL auction.

Unless Gambhir plays a blinder in the 2nd innings, irrespective of the outcome of this test, for the 3rd test I'd drop Gambhir, ask Dravid to open with Sehwag and bring in Rohit as well. Its madness to continue with the same group that has failed 6 consecutive tests in abroad (if you ignore the Windies) and there's no point bringing in a greenhorn Rahane into the team at this point into the team. The Aussies will eat him up alive.

Need to bring in fresh blood, i dont know how they would do it but they better do it after this series. This is just way beyond ridiculous, 2 years time in subcontinent is a good time to build a young test team.

Yes I said it and it is true. Overseas they are!
That's a real tough call. There are some "pensioners" as others have put it that are not performing but all sides have been guilty of giving there past heros a couple of series too many (Aus had Taylor and Hayden to name a couple int he batting space). With the breadth that Indi has to choose from (i.e. there are more than 1B Indians compared to 22m Aussies or 70m Poms) there is a lot of batting that needs to be given a go. All sides have to rebuild after the high times, look at Aust right now and for the past 3-5 years

GG is about to lose his place to Mukund and VVS must make way for Rahane!! If Virat doesn't get a hundred today, he must be tossed back and Rohit Sharma must be brought in his place.

bring in mukund .he has scored several double 100 in this season
Where?????? 100s in the sub-continent mean nothing outside India. Youhave to be a more rounded player able to play on more than one type of pitch. SRT (although he is freakish) is a great example of being able to adapt to different conditions and so many on this tour from Inida are examples of how not to adapt. I have said it before on other threads, Indian crisket need to invest in sending some young kids to other places around the world to get used ot and valuable experience in playing in SA, Aus, Eng, WI etc
