Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Looks like this series would be worse than the Eng series. At least Dravid managed 3 100s and we had an in jury ravaged squad. But in Aus we have the first choice team and looks like we won't even have a Dravid like effort this series. Based on what I've seen so far, I will be very surprised if we manage an individual 100 this series.
Misu243 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 The bowlers will have to win us this series. Really it will boil down to Umesh, Zak, and Ishant.
sm332 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 bowlers cant win you series if you dont put up 300 on the board.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 The bowlers will have to win us this series. Really it will boil down to Umesh' date=' Zak, and Ishant.[/quote'] Too much on this injury prone trio without any backup. Aus can still call Ryan Harris, Bollinger etc. but we only have Vinay Kumar and Mithun to fall back on. We saw in the last test even our best trio is far too inconsistent and can't bowl as consistently as the Aussie pacers.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 Kaise kaise din dekhne pad rahe hai :(( :hysterical: Kabhi din the ki scoreboard check karna padta tha ki kis kis players ne century maari hai. Now we are over the moon to see our batsmen score a half century :cantstop: I get a feeling if we do manage to score a 100 it will come from the bat of Ashwin - he has looked the most composed at the crease.
Texan Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Sure, if you add the scores of the top 6.... :winky:
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 Ash is going to get one today. Don't jinx him. He's our best batsman :hitler:
Deleted_User_1 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Deleted_User_1 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 In the meanwhile SRT's batting avg is dropping.....
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 it isn't difficult. get through the first session, and have all the fun u want against the old ball once the it stops moving around. these batsmen know how its done, but they can't do it anymore. look how easy it is for ashwin and his fellow number 11 partner dhoni. i do think that eventually, one of our old grandpas will make it past the first session and get the easy runs on ofer.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 The batting display in this series has been so gutless I am lost for words. We have batted in much tougher conditions in the past and managed to perform admirably. Suddenly after the world cup looks like our batsmen are not bothered to perform. I would rather have youngsters in the team as at least you can look to the future once the youngsters gain experience, but with these oldies around we don't even get that satisfaction.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 So pissed right now I nearly hit the TV when I flung away my remote seeing another wkt fall. Every phukin wkt caught behind. If you can't phucking stay at the wkt then do something, anything. Throw your goddamned bats around and get a few runs or at least get out trying to score runs rather than edge everything behind.
adi B Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 the selfish midget should feign an injury and fly out back to india, or otherwise this series will pull back his average a bi time, he is not going to get the 100 this series forget it.... next 2 years in sc, should play in these 2 years, score like hell nd then retire on a high:two_thumbs_up:
adi B Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 as for 100 by an individual in an innings in this series, forget that maybe ashwin nd yadav can , but nooooooo.... but considering aggregate 100 runs , than yeahsome indian batsmn may aggregate 100 in this series
rabinjackman Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 someone or the other will fluke his way to a 100
