amiret Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 since 2009 , It has been easier to get a big hundred against India than any other bowling attack in the world. During this period , Batsmen have scored 150 runs or more against India on 19 different occasions. No other bowling "attack" has been this friendly . Not Bangladesh , New Zealand , West Indies or Pakistan.
Pagalpanti Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Our bowlers get deflated if things don't go their way. They give up too easily.
Andrew Peter Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Maybe Dhoni's field placements also have something to do with it. 253* by Amla 200* by KP 200+ by Cook And now Clarke set for a triple .
BERGKAMP Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Partly also because Dhoni is too quick to set defensive fields so the mindsets of bowlers also becomes 'run saving' rather than 'wicket taking'.
zaqw222222 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Rubbish bowling tbh and crappy captaincy THIS!!!!!
amiret Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 This would mean our problems are not recent , for the last 3 years at least our bowlers have allowed opposition batsmen to score big 100's .
Hell Raiser Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Our captain sets the field like he is playing a T-20 game even when the opposition is down and still our bowlers give atleast 1 boundary ball in a over which releases the pressure.
amiret Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 Simply saying India is shyte is not really answer. Because it is NOTas if India has been the worst performing team since 2009 and yet batsmen find it easier to score Big 100's against India. Even if the time period is extended to 2007 , India remains the best team to score a big 100 against.
Bumper Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Why is it easy to score Big 100's against India ? 150+ run scorers have played 19 innings against India the highest for any team. Relatively speaking, they played only 4 innings against SAF. More innings, more 100s, LOL!
skindia Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Threat to lara's Record?? Looking at indian bowling it looks like clarke would break lara's record..
Cricket Tragic Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 150+ run scorers have played 19 innings against India the highest for any team. Relatively speaking' date=' they played only 4 innings against SAF. More innings, more 100s, LOL![/quote']
BERGKAMP Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 i hope he gets it. this team needs maximum humiliation.
tothepoint Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Looking at indian bowling it looks like clarke would break lara's record.. Which record? 400 or 501?
Needforspeed Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Get the press talking about it tonight...Clarke will choke.
Haarkarjeetgaye Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 if that happens India can draw the test. I reckon India will be batting in the last session tomorrow
amiret Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 Partly also because Dhoni is too quick to set defensive fields so the mindsets of bowlers also becomes 'run saving' rather than 'wicket taking'. I agree. We do not know how to restrict run-scoring when conditions are unfavorable for the bowlers or things are not going our way . But most important reason is the Captaincy. when i consider the time period between 2001-2007 when Dhoni was NOT the Captain . India is at number 6.
skindia Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 if that happens....daren bravo will break clarke's new record :winky:
