coffee_rules Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/michele-bachmann-expected-quit-presidential-race-following-poor-161724564.html But communications director Alice Stewart told reporters following the news conference that conversations began last night about whether to continue the campaign and the congresswoman asked for time to "sleep on it" and "pray about it." Stewart said she was awoken early Wednesday morning with the news. Looks like God told her to drop out. Too bad, she dropped out early, no more comedy for the rest of the campaign. Wait.. I still have hope from Perry, Santa, Newt.
ganeshran Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 It will most probably be Romney vs Obama with Obama winning.
ganeshran Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Wonder what CricAddict has to say about this? Was he supporting Bachmann?
Brainfade Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Wonder what CricAddict has to say about this? Was he supporting Bachmann? No. I have never considered voting for her as President. She is the Nancy Pelosi of the Republican party - a pot-stirrer. I have defended her (as I have defended Sarah Palin and even Barack Obama) when folks have personally attacked her.
Brainfade Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Who's the tea party champ now ? Santorum ? Looks like it, although some will may throw their support behind Paul. Some rumors floating around that Romney, if nominated, will pick Dr. Rice as a VP candidate. Interesting. Anyone here remember the 2004 Democratic nomination circus? Al Sharpton. Howard "the yell" Dean. Dennis Kucinich. All added "drama" until drab wiffle-waffler Kerry and ambulance-chasing sugar-daddy John Edwards picked up the nomination.
anotherhawkeye Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Ron Paul as nominee/president would be refreshing...
1983-2011 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Wonder what CricAddict has to say about this? Was he supporting Bachmann? I wanted her to become the president :haha: she would have been laughing stock in her speeches around he world:hysterical: it would have been fun
ganeshran Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 No. I have never considered voting for her as President. She is the Nancy Pelosi of the Republican party - a pot-stirrer. I have defended her (as I have defended Sarah Palin and even Barack Obama) when folks have personally attacked her. Apart from Romney, who do you think has the best chance to win the nomination?
Anonymous Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Apart from Romney' date=' who do you think has the best chance to win the nomination?[/quote'] I think Ron Paul has a decent chance but it is quite improbable given that Bachman's "Hillbilly" votes will go to Romney or the other crackpot.
Clarke Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Paul's not coming close, forget about him. Eventually, the tea party will have to pick a candidate who has a chance and i reckon they will prefer Santorum/Gingrich over Romney.
ganeshran Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Ya thats what I thought too. Paul always looks to have an outside chance but never really comes close to grabbing the nomination.
hari504504 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Hoping Ron Paul would run independently if he doesn't get the republican nomination... he was highly impressive during the debates and was schooling all the other candidates.
ganeshran Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Bachmann won't seek reelection in 2014. Sad day for liberals :(( http://www.salon.com/2013/05/29/michele_bachmann_drops_out/
Brainfade Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Maybe we can revive Richard Nixon and put him back on the ballot ... heck, it wouldn't be any different than what we have in the big house today. HlYZ2s_95gs
Clarke Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Hey look, I'm a sensible conzzvative because I'm not comparing Obama to Hitler/Mao/Stalin :girldance: but he's worse than Nixon and maybe should be impeached :whine:
ganeshran Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Maybe we can revive Richard Nixon and put him back on the ballot ... heck, it wouldn't be any different than what we have in the big house today. HlYZ2s_95gs You could make a collage like that with any two politicians :dontknow:
