The main reason Kohli is getting so much flak is because India is losing and doing it badly. Kohli could have replied to the crowd by making a good score in the second innings.

Needforspeed Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Looking at the behaviour of these guys, one really starts to appreciate someone like Sachin, Dravid, Kumble etc who in all their playing years have been almost flawless in their behaviour and who replied to anything thru their on field performance.

He was looking in good touch in second test. It will be interesting 2 see whether Dhoni drops VVS and play Rohit or Play Rohit in place of Virat

For the record, I see nothing wrong in him showing a finger to the crowd if CA saw nothing wrong with the way the crowd was behaving. Remember this is the same crowd that abuses players from all touring countries all the time. Someone had to give it back one day. I don't see Indians overtly upset about this gesture, bar one or two uncles here and there. These uncles are so boring.:haha:

I mean yes, the crowds in Australia can be quite bad but look it gets like that everywhere, look what India did to Andrew Symonds that is still up there with the worst I've seen in a cricket ground. Would Symonds have been alright to turn around and give them all the finger? No, it does not send off a good message to the younger players of whom these guys are meant to be a role model to. Could you see Tendulkar doing such a thing?

They are just happy to see him being punished and they don't want to understand the other side of the story. IMO, Kohli's gesture should be taken in a positive manner. Cos from now on, Sydney crowd cannot get away with such rude behaviors. And any more such incident in SCG will highlight Sydney crowd's rude behavior. And Kohli has bravely given a start to that.

If only this guy can channelize all the energy into his game, he would cement his place in the Test side instead of making a fool of himself.

He is not the only one to suffer from that syndrome in young generation. Most lame thing in this thread is justification of Kohli's behavior on account of his being Punjabi.

During the course of the long Australian innings, he was so bored that he was practising some of the things for his umpires exams and he was just practising giving a batsman out. :winky:
