surajmal Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 There is something to be said about the Chinese. They may run their program like a boot camp but that day is not far when Chinese are going to hammer every other nation in every single event (yes even 100m track).
indiefan Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 He has finished 10th with a new national record. Awesome performance in this endurance sport. :two_thumbs_up:
Crookbond Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Is this the best performance for India since 1984 at the Athletics?
Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 what else is left for india (outside of boxing and wrestling)? i haven't followed anything else. is that narang guy still in?
indiefan Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Valeriy Borchin - the Russian who collapsed and was taken away in stretcher, was the gold medalist in Beijing! What a commitment.
indiefan Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Is this the best performance for India since 1984 at the Athletics? Anju Bobby George had finished 6th in 2004 Olympics.
kabira Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I am hoping two medals from Boxing...and one from wrestling...
Cricketics Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 We have discuss throw finals coming up in half an hour.
gult Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Excellent performance from Irfan.. He bettered his best by 2 minutes!! I think he will be a strong contender for a medal in next olympics
Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 i just watched the devendro fight. he is one hell of a fighter. unbelievably quick, not much footwork...too 'straight line-ish' in his movement but very quick hands. he pulls off 5-6 punch combos like its nothing. no jabs, no lead punches, just blazes away. its quite funny to watch. he fought a solid opponent today, that guy was the silver medalist at beijing, so this was a huge win. his style is something unorthodox which u can't really plan for, so it might take him the distance in these games. i back this guy to win a medal. that makes two medals for india in boxing.
Raghav_12 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Krishna Poonia's event is starting now.. Go Poonia Go..
Manny_Pacquiao Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 LOL, this is the first time in my life that i'm watching a 'discus throw'...
