Englan have no worries with injuries for the Paki series... I say take 10 11 batsmen into each game... the Pommy bats will be good enough to bowl the paki abble out twice in each game...:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

0-0 is the best result as an Indian fan. Eng lose face, Pakistan do not get a right to brag either. And then later in the year we thrash the pommies.

donno why most people here think we`ll thrash the poms at home later this year.. i think it`ll be a tough series for us, with poms being favourites, they are a far better side than us, they`ll even take a draw series, but we have to go for win at all tests, which aint possible

It is good that no one injured, though I think that Bresnan is ruled out, but it was the article in British media which was saying that they were injured (you can check the links) and hence the points raised in the OP do stand!!

Tremlett was selected ahead of Finn for the heavy defeat in Dubai last week, his first appearance since he suffered hamstring and back problems after the first Test against India last July. But after bowling 21 tidy overs without a wicket in Pakistan's first innings, the 6ft 8in Surrey seamer felt stiffness and soreness in the same left side during the team's preparations here this week and, despite the contrasting claims of Graham Onions and Monty Panesar, England were expected to plump for Finn as his replacement. The 22-year-old Middlesex bowler has made a single Test appearance, against Sri Lanka last June, since he was omitted after the defeat by Australia in Perth 13 months ago. But he made an impressive comeback to the international set-up during the one-day thrashing in India last autumn, and the loss of both Tremlett and Tim Bresnan, who returned home at the start of the tour after suffering a setback in his recuperation after elbow surgery, has opened a path back into the Test team. Tremlett was unable to take any part in the team's last practice session at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, which he spent mostly sitting on a coolbox, provoking inevitable fears that the 30-year-old could be facing another lengthy layoff. His international career has been undermined regularly, with the first setback occurring before he had even made his Test debut when a hip problem ruled him out of the tour of Pakistan in late 2005, after he had received a first one-day call-up earlier in the year. He also missed the tour of India that followed that winter after hip and knee operations, and then suffered a side strain in the summer of 2006. By 2007 he forced his way back into contention and finally made his Test debut against India at Lord's, but he had not added to the three appearances he made in that series until last winter's Ashes tour, when he finally came of age as an international force with 17 wickets in the last three Tests, including five for 87 in the defeat at Perth and the wicket that completed England's triumph in Sydney. That made him an automatic selection in the home series against Sri Lanka in the first part of last summer, during which he recorded Test best figures of six for 48 and even earned comparisons with Curtly Ambrose, the great West Indies bowler of similar stature. But then he was ruled out of the second Test of the India series that followed after failing to come through a fitness test in the Trent Bridge nets on a hamstring problem he had sustained in the first Test at Lord's. Other than his 11 Tests, Tremlett has played a total of 106 first-class matches in more than a decade since his first full season for Hampshire in 2001. ------------------------------------------------------- It again proves my my point.
