Too early to talk about this. BTW' date=' Deepak Chahar is out of favor even in Rajasthan. He bowls military medium pace.[/quote'] I think its important for India to talk about this because they need to start building a side for the future. Just like you have a World Cup in ODIs to build towards, the Test side should be built towards these 3 test series'.

Openers:-Gambhir©,Sehwag,Mukund. Middle-order:-Rahane,Pujara,Kohli,Rohit,Raina(If he can sort out his problems against short-pitched bowling)/Robin Bist. Keeper/Bat:-Uday Kaul,Dinesh Karthik. Spinners:-Ashwin,Ojha/Rahul Sharma. Seamers:-Praveen,Umesh,Ishant,Aaron,? There is lot of contenders for that 5th spot in fast bowling. My choice will be Rahul Shukla.

This talk of redemption is nonsensical. Redemption needs to begin at grass roots level. Which means BCCI needs rethink how it can produce a group of good Tests players from it's domestic first class structure. A mediocre Ranji Competition will produce a mediocre Test team. I still believe the IPL has been more beneficial to the Indian ODI team than many realize. IPL is competition that works in terms of format, competitiveness, coaching, scouting, recognition etc. Whilst Ranji Trophy is just wallowing around in its sh!t.

what about IPL making the players least motivated to give it their all in the field.. after all i rake in moolah in IPL seems to be the attitude of most of our current crop of players.. seem totally disinterested playing test cricket... IPL would be beneficiall wherein teams can manage to retain a player for a price for 3 years but after a year they can let go if they feel he doesn't perform well... e.g: saurabh tiwary.. he does not deserve the price tag for 3 years.. players would be hungry to prove it in nationals.. and cap the non india players sal to 350k... and if multiple teams vie for same player then base it on luck of draw.. at least that will ensure that players want to get into the national team at any cost...now the hunger is missing.. imagine DK getting 10 crores ...absurdity.. IPL has changed the focus and in turn that is killing our feeder system namely domestic.. matter of time before we produce real crap players and national team becomes a joke which can lead to iPL interest also waning... its in the interest of IPL that the domestic tourney must survive.. cricket will die if the same focus on only IPL continues...

Corrected the preference order Dravid, laxman, shitwag , dhoni and ishant should henceforth be barred immediately from tests with ishant and sehwag getting chance at redemption depending upon county stints and hunger to win..

Guys who should no longer be a part of any future India test team - Shitwag. Ghoti [he should retire to playing marbles in Delhi's backstreets with kids]. Wall-opped. Lax. >Lara [if he gets his 100 in ODIs, fine. But it should be his last series too] Dhoti. Better we have kids getting raped, but at least learning and buidling than people who are past their shelf life, with due respect to all their past glory.

The scary part is that most cricket fans know which players need to go [3 Legends]and be benched for a long time, which deserve to be kicked in their backsides [both FTB openers and Dhoni]. The irony is that they won't be punished. I won't be surprised if the legends get a home series to go out on a high. The other letdowns have been already chosen for the Pajama fest. IPL is around and while these guys have hurt Indian cricket badly and have caused a drop in interest, yet the BCCI won't punish them because they won't risk IPL being shown it's true place by fans and won't risk team owners ire. How valuable can players be if they have been dumped from national team for being pathetic. So the arseholes will be rewarded with fat slots in IPL. This is the reason why BCCI has not done an honest review of our debacles this season. An honest assessment would have forced harsh decisions and this would have toppled the IPL apple cart heavily. BCCI[iCC] won't allow it.
