the bowlers had the talent,no doubt about that,they dont seem to bowl 6 good deliveries on same length.in England it was understandable bcoz their batsmen r too good,but here we had young top 3,out of Ponting n Hussey.only Clarke was in good form

With a good bowling unit, India can compete even with a shoddy batting display, like Pakistan usually does. We are loosing by such big margins because our bowlers suck. I still cannot understand how on the same wickets India gets <200 and the opposition makes 500+ routinely.

With kookaburra first 1.5 hrs are crucial and if you don't lose too many wkts you can capitalise. This is exactly what Aussies have done at Sydney and at Adelaide. Unfortunately our middle order batsmen failed to consolidate and make the most of decent batting conditions whereas Aussies have done so. Most of the time Aussies have lost first 3 wkts to the new ball but they made the most of conditions after that. In our case the batsmen looked in "good touch" before throwing it away.

I meant on 2nd /3rd day.on first day it still had more than enough for quicks.anyway I never defended them,just that bowling is equally to blame

But when you compare India's batting experience and skill (Gambhir, Sehwag, Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman) with bowling experience and skill (Zak, Ishant, Umesh, Ashwin, Vinay) there is ocean of difference. It was highlighted by nothing more than batting from Ashwin who looked the most comfortable batsman apart from Sachin out in the middle.

Clarke r Ponting are facing pathetic bowlers who give up at first sign of a partnership.Tendulkar n co. are facing Siddle,Hilfy,who keep coming at them all the time. Ponting was on the verge of being axed before this series,now hes scored 400+ runs in the series,surely our bowling has to do something about this

You are making Harris, Hilfy and Siddle look like Marshal, Holding and Garner :haha: Yes, the Aussie bowlers have been disciplined but this is what you expect the bowlers at this level to be. TBH I didn't see too many jaffas from the Aussies and it was our batsmen's ineptitude we didn't score. If it were up to me Dravid and Laxman would have been replaced by Rahane and Rohit from the 3rd test but hey we are talking about the Indian team where seniority counts for a lot just like any govt job.
