Marcos Baghdatis is waiting to find out the size of his fine after furiously smashing four rackets during a changeover in his Australian Open loss. After going down a break in the third set against Stanislas Wawrinka, the 2006 finalist sat in his chair at the changeover and whacked his racket seven times on the court until it was completely mangled. He then calmly gave it to a ballboy before picking three more from his bag -- two still in plastic wrappers -- and breaking those one by one. Baghdatis recovered to win the set but lost the match 7-6 (3), 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 on Wednesday. The Grand Slam Committee will meet on Thursday to decide on the size of his fine. Regulations say a player can be fined up to $2,000 for each incident of racket abuse. http://www.cbssports.com/tennis/story/16922585/baghdatis-breaks-4-rackets-in-outburst

Somdev beat him last year. I saw him. Man this guy is a pretty good player. Wawa got better of him last night. Never knew he was like Marat Safin who would break this many racquets. Yes, big fine is coming his way.

Baggy reached the final in 06 here, and Wimby semi vs Nadal in 06 as well I think ...since then hasnt really fulfilled potential, largely due to injuries maybe. Fine shot maker when in form though
