That's a plus for Misbah. We love Afridi(most of us) when he is one of the worst thing that happened to Pak cricket in a long time. Large number of fans dislike YK when he is the only world class batsman we have.

Misbah is not great tactically but he is the best person to lead Pakistan right now. He leads from the front, has got the team together (for now) and isn't an attention ***** like Afretard.

MSD may have looked perfect before Eng tour started but if you asked me 2-3 yrs ago I would said the same as I say now. His style of captaincy works great in a controlled environment e.g. 50 overs, 20 overs, known subcontinental conditions...his overseas test wins are rare and all of them were due to situation controlling the result rather than a master stroke from him. He has tendency to wait for things to happen..dry the runs or wait for batsman to make mistake or wait for pitch to deteriorate. You cannot call him completely defensive but you will never see him go for kill...even if 10 & 11 are playing !! To me he should remain ODI/20-20 captain but Test needs a shrewder brains like Tubby, who can make things happen Not Wait for things to happen !

A captain is only as good as the team that's playing under him.Dhoni doesn't really has any good bowlers. Indias Ace is its batting .IF your ACE isn;t working things aren't going to be pretty .that's exactly what's happening right now.Give Dhoni an Ajmal and even a Cheema/Gul and watch this same team be world beaters again .ZAk can't win you games on his own he needs support.Coming back to OP's question : Hands down Dhoni ,no questions about i.Misbah is doing good but he still has a lot to prove.
