impressed by his keeping :) in countries like england he will not drop/struggle like dhoni he has good technique.. and from looks of it he is technical kind of batsmen better suited to play in these conditions then dhoni
+1 As a keeper he i better. But if he scores big with the bat in the 2nd innings he will put pressure on Dhoni to retain his spot.

He scored a decent 35 but in a flat track but failed the same way like Dhoni always does. The big issue with Dhoni has been his struggles against moving ball and Saha failed today as soon as the new ball was taken. If we are replacing Dhoni it should be with a WK who has good technique against moving ball.Saha deserves a decent run though just like anyone else.

Saha has been India's 2nd highest scorer in 2 of the 3 innings he's played. In both the innings, he's come in the midst of a collapse. Got out shouldering arms in 2 innings, and this is something he needs to work on. If Dhoni wants to retire from Test cricket in a year's time, it's better to give Saha a run rather than glorify Dhoni's averages in some home matches.

Saha is not much better than Dhoni, although I agree it is too early to tell. He cannot always judge the line and also has played on flat pitches yet without a good contribution. But what I like about him is a desire to bat. He wants to spend time at the crease and make the bowlers work for his wicket. This means he will be useful in having partnerships with the top order. DK is much better than both. It was unfortunate he was made to open in ODI's as at no7 in tests I know this guy would contribute hard runs. Sound technique and good wicket keeper.

DK's keeping is at par with Parhtiv's these days. Talent wise, he maybe the best batsman out of the current lot but unless he improves his keeping, especially to spinners, he will find it hard to make a comeback. Saha has been the understudy to MSD for a long time now and deserves a decent run in the side before we try any other keeper.
