Dravid and Laxman must retire or they will taint their legacy!

Jaddu has a chance this year of helping us getting knocked out of yet another T20 World Cup. That would be 3 in 4 years. He should aim for this record.
he was only a raw little rookie back then. now just the mention of his name sends tremors in opposition dressing rooms. on topic - the 2 geriatrics will only go if pushed, and that requires a new board and new selectors. so looks like poor rohit won't be making his debut until 2013 at the earliest.

NZ series is their farewell series for sure. Rohit and Pujara will have to face the heat after that. In fact, I don't mind Jaddu at No.6 as well. He can be quite a handful in the subcontinent.

I guess we'll struggle to beat the Kiwis and then comfortably whitewash the Poms. In fact, we should create some dustbowls and have a three spinner attack. That's why Jaddu should play at No. 6.

Then? You want him to play as a specialist spinner?
why not? wont do worse then ishant and the way england played him on turning track..he can be quite handful!

VVS Laxman is yet to play any of his two innings of Adelaide Test match. Let us not jump the gun before watching what is in store from him. Knowing the kind of unpredictable Character VVS Laxman is, he might as well come up with career saving innings in the Adelaide Test Match in his own Very Very Special way!

But do you think a century by him in a flat wicket is enough for him not to retire?

We'll play two spinners anyway. Jaddu's gonna be the third spinner. If you want him to be in the side as a specialist bowler, then you either drop Yadav or one of Ashwin/Ojha. That's not happening.

Even if he scores a double century, he'll not play beyond the NZ series.

Lax and Dravid are a lot more intelligent than your average cricketer, let's hope they can see things for what they are, and not let their personal ambition block the the future development of the test team.

OP you've already tainted your legacy by creating these useless threads. Not only dravid and laxman but also tendulkar needs to retire. No need for any of 3.

People slinging mud at our seniors and calling them selfish need to realise that there are not too many hot talents waiting in the wings to take over the mantle from them... If any, they would be called selfish if Sachin had retired after the WC,Dravid after his performance in the Eng series etc or VVS after say SA or even WI were he played his typical 2nd innings knock. With all due respect to Respect to the talents of Kohli(in tests) and Rohit Shrama, they have not set the world on fire with their performances so far.

bcci should make a rule, you have to be above average skill level in at least 2 aspects out of batting, bowling and fielding to play for india. from the current XI only kohli would survive.
Even Kohli is only there due to no other alternatives. Sachin still have 2 good years and is not playing badly at all, we need his experience and quality. Dravid and Laxman should go tho
