Ultimate_Game Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Before the series started I, and most Indian fans, thought this to be India's best chance to win maiden series in Aus. But Aussies really opened our eyes, and I guess Indian team's as well, by playing outstanding cricket. Aussies were clearly better in all disciplines of the game - batting, bowling, fielding, captaincy and planning. Aussie batsmen lead by their captain Clarke and Ponting led from the front and other than at Melbourne were never in any real trouble. Aussies bowlers never let Indian batsmen get comfortable at the crease and showed amazing discipline to make Indian batting greats look like novices. Well done Australia and very well played. You guys thoroughly outplayed India and fully deserve the comprehensive series win. Congratulations to all Aussie fans on this forum. Your team played outstanding cricket and richly deserve all the plaudits they get :hatsoff:

Young, or old, they don't make excuses of players sitting out or seniors Injured, they are still TOP CLASS TEAM. Congratulations.

Australia will be number 1 again and dominate world cricket, while we in India will have to put up with the BCCI, the most disgusting, corrupt organization in the world.

Seriously I don't think B'desh would have gone down as easily as we did. At least Tamim Iqbal would have had a couple of amazing knocks and Shakib would have managed a couple of 5 fers

I don't think they played outstandingly brilliant cricket, but they didn't need to - they just executed the basics (which our lazyass bhais find all too difficult) and all their strategies to absolute perfection. They had a plan for every one of our batsmen, and executed it to a tee. I enjoyed their relative decline while I could, because I knew they were never going to stay down for long. Part I of Mickey Arthur's mission is complete. There will be much sterner tests ahead (home series v South Africa at the end of this year, and the ultimate litmus test - back-to-back Ashes series in England in 18 months' time and at home at end of next year), but they are back on track.
