Old guy Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Thanks guys. I watched the first half of the day and went to bed at Eng 18/0 thinking they would win. Got up two hours later and it was presentation time. Now thats what you call bad timing. I watched 80% of the play but missed the best bit. But hey I am not complaining because this ranks as one of the best test wins for us. Spinners were awesome but Eng batting was not test class I am afraid. They were some embarrassing dismissals, thank me :D i came at 14-0 and rest is history :P
Pak_Fan_4_Eva Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 After what Pakistan has been doing in the last three years, I would never switch off my tv till the last ball has been bowled. :P

I went to bed here when Azhar Ali got out and we had a lead of 100. I figured we would be all out soon anyway so whats the point. Woke up at 6:30am to see England 56-5! then watched the rest

The best bits are when you think your team is gonna lose yet they shock you and do the bussiness. 56-5 you knew going to win, thrill is gone. When strauss and cook were grinding the hell ot of it, it was enthralling and then wickets fell. It was so thrilling I cant explain. Men round the bat. Spinners in tandemn, appeals, noise, pressure. Amazing!
bajrang Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 great job pakistan, do 3-0 and then oneday series whitewash. thanks

And this.:two_thumbs_up: Pakistan of late always have something up their sleeves. The last time I went to bed early was when we were 9 down for 90 odd against NZ in the last ODI at AD in 2009. We eventually lost but I learned an important lesson then. Consequently, I didn't miss a single ball of the England ODI's , Razzaq's innings and the recent Sharjah ODI against SL.:--D
khanjee Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 thanks guys... its a great feeling to be back in such style specially after what has happen with us in the last few years.. thanks all the kind words coming from you guys..appreciate it... well done pakistan and lets fin it strong in 3rd test match inshaalalh..
Manny_Pacquiao Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 i was looking at the ages of this time a few days ago. misbah is 37, younis is 34, ajmal is 34. i think there are bunch of other 30 somethings in this team as well. enjoy these handful of wins, cos this little bit of success won't last long.

This Pak team is clean, honest and very hard working and not egoistic. For eg the highly under rated Rehman. If any one can post the Broad dismissal... just magnificient All the ingredients for a winner who is also liked by neutrals, unlike the hyped up opponents. For eg the same Uncle Tom Nasir Hussian who described Indian fielders as donkeys was praising Monty yesterday even though he fumbled and fielded a ball. I for one has been p.o.ed at the witch hunting that the English do on Paks every time and this time it was the suggestion Ajmal was cheating. prepare a 90 deg turner for Dubai and do a 3-0 rout.
Kriterion Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 They're a mediocre batting side, but even their 2nd string bowling lineup is among the world's best. Any other team would have lost defending 145, but these guys have a 50-50 chance anytime they set a 3 digit target.

koolkarts Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Pak are looking really good at the moment. Best Test team in the subcontinent at the moment. It'd be really interesting to see how we'd play against them once we sort our act out and get a balance in our team.

Your fecking team deserves all of it at the moment. But I am very disappointed with your fans. 4 of them (waseem, utalk, ali and pioneer) were sleeping, going off to sleep, walking on the roads and doing such kind of nonsense when your team was delivering the performance of this decade. Even, we, your arch-rivals were biting our nails hoping that you would win and loved the way the Eng got routed. Please teach your fans some discipline next time so that they know how to appreciate a good performance 'live' and not through youtube, highlights, sms and similar rubbish.

zep1706 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 Congrats, I am genuinely happy for them and the team for stuffing up the arrogant poms.
bangladeshifan Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 yeh........well played pakistan :two_thumbs_up:
ravishingravi Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Absolutely complete and total admiration for Pakistan cricket team. To consider what they have been put through, or rather what they have put themselves through and now to see this team coming up so beautifully against all odds is great to watch. Congratulations to the team and fans. I think it again emphasizes what a team can achieve if you get rid of talented cheats.
