Not sure about that. Anderson is as good as anyone in the world in Indian conditions. Stuart Broad has improved loads in the last 8 months or so, Bresnan is very underrated and they have the likes of Tremlett and Finn in reserve. We have to see how good Philander will be (looks superb so far). Morne Morkel can blow hot and cold.

Morne Morkel can blow hot and cold.[/quote'] lol u kidding right ? steyn is much better then anderson he can destroy batting line ups on his own consistently and htis time he would be in full rhythm not coming out of injury like last time these 2 teams played morkel was out of rhythm but he made good enoug come back would rate him higher then any english pacer england is balanced yes but south africa can get teams out under 50 they are best by far phlander proved in 3rd test s sri lanka he is no green track bulley .. he is good test bowler.. and about finn.. de lange is is not far behind him imo finn is very expensive thats why they dont play him more over 3 seamers will play and top 3 of south africa out class top 3 of england or any one one really

Where does this unworthiness come from ? Neither team was bribing the umpires or using performance enhancing drugs to get to #1. THIS.. People think that every no. 1 team should be as dominating as Australia was some 6-7 years back. That will not happen always. Teams become no. 1 as per the rules laid out in wide awareness of every nation, so no point in doubting no. 1 status of any team. Not all no. 1's are dominating like Federer's, there are Dinara Safina's also.

It could do South Africa no harm to visit a sports psychologist (if they exist). Their problems are mental. They have all the talent in the world but never win anything. They produce so much batting talent that they can export a couple to England. The only thing they don't produce are spinners' date= they had to import one from Pakistan.

So another "unworthy" team on their way to losing the number 1 ranking to another "unworthy" team . :giggle: If South Africa lose 0-1 to Australia, then Australia take number 1 spot :hysterical:. Saffers will have held it for a mere 3 months. Which is all the more important to have the right team in place when Australia visit India next year. Beating Australia if they are number 1 team will provide big boost to our rankings.
