He was dropped as e was struggling with his bowling and because he had lost his swing. But now that he's back having taken so many wickets in domestic cricket and having got some of the swing back, why not give him the opportunity. He did bowl well in the only ODI he played vs WI, should have played both the t20s.

Which moment you are talking about. His bets moments are against Zim and Bangladesh and Ishant has bowled more good spells than Irfan in test cricket.

Ishant is way better than Irfan but Irfan is way better than Vinay Kumar as an all-round player. Whenever i see VK in team , I always feel Irfan'd have been much better choice than VK

I recall seeing Irfan bowl on an U-19 tour to Pakistan. He demolished the home team with an excellent display of swing bowling. He carried this form over in the 2004 tour with the Indian national team. It's a shame looking at where he stands now. He had the potential but never the pace to sustain his bowling.

He is useless and overrated and it is not MSD's fault this guy cannot bowl anything but dollies. Good call to not include him for the 20-20 game. A sure shot 50 runs for the opposing team.

A fairly decent outing for the comeback man on a good batting wicket. WIll pick more wickets with the new ball in helpful conditions. Still early days in his comeback, as he plays more, he will get better.
