But when you will become more mature, you will start understanding that these things happens in life but life doesn't stop. After he completes his punishment, he and PCB has every right to do whatever they want. Actually no, thats not how it happens with real life and mature people. If a bank employee is caught swindling the bank, and he serves his punishment, he has every right to work again but no bank will ever employ him. If a teacher is caught abusing students, even after he has served his punishment, he will never be allowed in a position with kids again. In real life kids as young as 14 are punished because of the gravity of their situation and pay for it the rest of their lives. Dont know why its should be different with cricket players just because they are celeibrities. You are feeling sympathy for Amir as you have seen him on TV regularly and he is a celebrity. IMO, he is free to do what he likes but keep him away from cricket.

I would of thought that would be enough punishment. Thats exactly what i was saying, you can't give any bigger punishment to a very young boy in international cricket than sending him to jail. Just imagine 99% boys of his age enjoys their life with their friends without any care in the world, chasing girls, going to college and learning new things. Here is a boy who got chance to serve his country and has already been to jail too. He was just settling his feet in international cricket. Obviously, he didn't started playing with the aim of becoming a fixer. Unfortunately for him, he senior most players were corrupt and he too got into the fix. But he will still play cricket. He will still be rich and be a celebrity. Dont think his serving a ban in between is going to have any effects on his future fans who will think of him just as a rockstar who got away with wrong things. The moral will be, you got caught yet you can be rich and famous. Once he has a long career would anyone remember he was in jail for 3 months. Fixers are going to resurface in Pakistan cricket again, wait and watch

First you answer me, why are Marlon Samuels and Hershelle Gibbs allowed in international cricket after their punishments.

But, human beings will always an answer for that. I believe, it all depends on the individual players whether they want 2 be corrupt or an honest cricket player who wants to give his all for the game. Thats why they say, game is above individuals. There will always be some players who might choose to spot fixing again.
zen Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 voted 'yes' only because of his age (assuming it is correct) and the fact that he plays a team like Pak where I guess the motto is you are right until proven to be wrong .... as a younsgter, you would want to be given a 2nd chance i hope he learned his lesson. if not then it is pak that will lose the game if he fixes it :giggle:
