Surprisingly Paki fast bowlers are lacking behind in these discussions
Cos their rotting in a jail cell! Cheema and Junaid Khan will be up there in a few yrs along with Yadav. At the moment they are completely outdoing us at our traditional strength - spin!

Anderson' date=' Morkel, Zaheer[/quote'] Sadly not Zaheer anymore. He looked ordinary in Aus and looks like he's past it. At the moment Philander is ahead of Zak. The period from 2006 to 2011 (till WC) Zak was one of the best, maybe just after Ateyn but since then Zak has slipped a few notches.

do you think zak will perform well in odis without much reverse swing as you can see the affect on malinga ,gul and riaz performance due to two new ball rule.

Has to be Anderson. Did well in Australia' date=' was outstanding in England and has shown he can do well in Asia as well. A brilliant bowler for all conditions now.[/quote'] Anderson depends heavily on helpful conditions,Srilanka has been helping fast bowlers in recent years. Its when the ball does not swing he is exposed. When the ball is swinging he is the best bowlers in the world,But when it does not he looks as one of the worst.

.... :whack: He is destroying the biggest FTB batsman in their home territory on the flattest pancakes without any sort of help. He also averaged 26 in the UAE, almost half of Steyn's average.

Lol at people that still think Anderson needs helpful conditions. BRB the slowest tracks of all time in Sri Lanka no problem for him.

I concur. The angle from which Anderson approaches to the crease makes him a more dangerous bowler even if he doesn't swing it too much. He sometimes reminds me of the 1 Test wonder - Bob Massie.

I think Anderson has improved tremendously in the past couple of years, the fact that he is striking regularly with the new ball in SL is a proof for that. He needed helpful conditions before but now he is very good outside of England as well. I am not sure if he enters Steyn category yet as Steyn can demolish a batting lineup all on his own in the subcontinent as well but Anderson is slowly becoming a world class fast bowler.

,Seriously write about what you know,Srilankan pitches have helped fast bowlers in recent years and it does swing there, australian just destroyed lanka there.he is currently the best outside steyn but zak if he sorts his injury problems will not be far behind.

Actually the angle is his main problem when the ball does not swing,When the ball swings it makes him lethal as the with the angle ball comes in and then goes away where as he is the opp when it does not.

Currently, he is swinging it EVEN from such an angle.
